for the record, dipthong, i started hog hunting 31 years ago w/ curs & bulldogs. i have seen pits & american bulldogs that could run a track better than ALL the dogos i've run w/. the most dominating & impressive running catch dog i have ever seen was a presa canario by a large margin. hell the red dog in the second pic dove under water under a tree to catch a dog killer sized hog on the same hunt. i had to slap him off 3 times yanking him under the tree each time before he stayed off long enough for my partner to pull it out into the stream so we could tie it. and i have yet to see any bullbreed dog that is remotely in the same class of working wind & running a track as any of the blackmouth or catahoula curdogs i listed earlier. you start looking at hunting only lines of curs like kemmer & stephens stock Mt curs or leopard curs or plotts ot tennesse brindles or canadians and many of them can cold trail w/ good hounds.
just because most everyone else on here has very limited hunting experiences doesn't mean they can't see the massengil tatoo on your forehead.
heck the only reason i'm even on this thread (or the board much) is because the hunting keeps getting rained out. at this point i'd airburst a nuke just to dry things out if i could.
