I guess that would be what one might consider "recent" AMStaffer, LOL
A quick search shows that Presa's are dated back to the 15th and 16th centuries! They went nearly extinct and were carefully repopulated starting around 1970ish.........so I wouldn't consider them to be recent.

The other dogs you've listed are much younger as a breed.........but still at least 100 years old or more, so it all depends on what you consider "recent" LOL
I think I see/get your point though. These breeds started "somewhere" with the idea of someone...........but that someone should have 1/2 a brain, and resources, and be creating for a PURPOSE another dog cannot competently fill
in this day and age of over population IMO. It was a far different world 100 years ago.............
