I guess I come from the mindset that-- as long as a person is feeding their dog then it's all good. People tend to humanize pets and prioritize them over themselves, their kids, their spouse. I feel very affronted by this. I love my dog don't get me wrong but i would not treat her as if she is human because she's not. She knows this.
I'm not poor, but I'm not wealthy. I do what I can. I can do Acana. I can do Orijen. I do not WANT to spend the money on raw. I don't want the germs. I don't want the risk of parasites or salmonella. I do not want urgent vet bills because my dog got a chicken leg stuck down her throat. I don't want to handle chicken hearts and livers.
Some people can only afford Pedigree. Are they bad people?? No. It's bullshit to say as much.
If you like raw so **** much you can come here and buy it for my dog.
You really, really need to calm down. Go grab yourself a glass of wine or something.
I don't treat my dogs like humans. My Border Collie does stock work which is pretty much the exact opposite of humanizing my dogs. LOL. One time he ripped off a dew claw, it was bandaged up, and he kept working.
I guess if I totally DID humanize my dogs, they'd be eating little filet mignons every night! They eat RAW meat. If I were to eat raw meat, I'd get sick. So obviously they aren't humanized and you're just pulling words out of your bum :rofl1:
The only "close call" I've ever had with food related vet visits were related to kibble. I've had to fish a kibble out of Chloe's throat. I've had to do that with a cookie in Rylie's throat as well. Talk about terrifying. Actually, when Emma was on kibble she threw up 10+ times in a row one night and we had to rush to the e-vet.
Is kibble evil and bad? Far from it!
