Chaz Moms and Moms-to-Be Chat (everyone welcome)

Oh doh! Well, I was wondering... See the bright side, it will give you a bigger breather between Christmas and birthday in the next years :rofl1:

So, I was at work yesterday, just not thinking of anything, when my water broke at 3 p.m. I slightly freaked out, obviously, and packed up to go home. Since I didn't have any contractions yet at all, I figured I'd take a quick shower and pack the last hygiene items for my hospital bag. All of the sudden a contraction hits hard... and about 3 minutes later another one. And y contraction I mean a strong contraction that took my breath away completely and made me feel like I had to push.

The hospital we picked is about 30 minutes away from where we live, but luckily there's another hospital in the network that's just 5 minute up the road. I told Dan that I didn't think I'd make it further. We rolled up to the emergency entrance at about 4.30 p.m. and they wheeled me right up.

Long story short, our baby boy was born on 5.25 p.m. And everyone told me first time moms have long labors! :yikes:

There was no time for any type of pain relief and because I went from 0 to 100, I have some extensive tearing (sorry tmi) that had to be stitched up, so I got my epidural after birth. Lol!

Anyway, please meet Finley Oliver. He weighed 7.5lbs and was 19 inches long. I can't describe how much in love I am with this little guy. He takes my breath away.

He's adorable! Sorry for the tearing, that must have been pretty awful, glad it happened fast at least.

Oh I LOVE it. Beautiful pictures. Did people get it? Congratulations!

Also... Dizzy, where are you???

Jules is just a sneaky queue jumper and I have nothing else to say about that ner ner :P

Congratulations FG!

And I'm pregnant!!! Still. 42+2 :) having daily monitoring and baby has been fabulous for the most part. I have a feeling it will be here before long. I hope I get a badge for being one of the 4% who go over 42 weeks.

There is always a dog watching over her. She is literally never alone. It's amazing.

Also, because I'm feeling amazed by this, 2 weeks postpartum.

18 month sleep regression: send help.

Any words of encouragement or advice from those who recently went through it??

Ack he's so cute!! I love his name. I hope you heal quickly, try to take it easy!

Dang what a story! I too like his name, very neat!

I have news...

Congrats again, you guys are going to be such awesome parents!

Aw, those pics are so sweet. Mu followed us everywhere when Falon was tiny but I think in her case it was thinking that I may suddenly leave again and come back with some other tiny human. :p

Jules, sitz baths are a God send for tearing. Ask if you can get a sitz bath attachment for the toilet. Every few hours, fill it with warm water and sit for about 15-20 minutes at a time. I found it made a HUGE difference in my recovery.

Also... Lean forward when you pee for a while. Not kidding lol

The new Chaz babies are so adorable! Congrats, mamas!

Dizzy, I can't believe you haven't popped yet! Any updates?

Here's Nora and Santa from a couple of weeks ago. They took SO many awesome pictures of her!

Ivy Seren dramatically entered the world yesterday via c section! We are totally in love! She's perfect! So far feeds like a total pig and is pretty mellow, but it's early days yet!!! I'm a bit tender but if all is OK we might be able to go home tomorrow!!!

Congratulations!!! Stubborn little one huh? :) Rest up, it won't be long you'll be chasing her all over, well you'll get a few months before that happens, but it will be here before you know it.

Congrats Dizzy! Glad she seems none the worse for wear and that you're healing well!
