I don't really know how to answer. It's really hard for me to say.
There's a lot of breeds that I love, and admire, but I don't really have an interest in owning. Or if I do, I'm not 100%.
Jackson is almost perfect to me (well, he IS perfect for me, but ya know, if I had a choice, of course there's a few things I would change) but I don't really like most Yorkies I meet. I have a definite 'like' for Silky Terriers though. I got somewhat involved in the community, and spoke to a few breeders, etc. I wouldn't turn down a good Silky that would be a good match for us and I definitely always have my eye out for them. I think I would feel safe sticking with what I know.
But I'm really thinking a Border Terrier could be my 'it' breed. Obviously I can't say that yet without owning one. But I'm really hoping I get the chance to soon enough. I can't explain it, but I just keep coming back to them. I think I like them because I still get the smaller size, the non-shedding, the activeness and such, but without so much of the fiesty-ness, or 'sharpness' maybe? and a *bit* more go-lucky but still not 'derp'. lol.
Overall while I'd like to try out other bigger breeds, I know that realistically that's not going to happen for a while. I really like the convenience of smaller and low shedding at the moment. It's just so much easier with traveling, and lots of back and forth, etc, and Jackson is just ... so easy to travel with.
So I think I have a definite type, I tend to connect the best with small terrier-type dogs, as far as when I see them in public, or at dog parks, etc, I always do a double glance and an 'awww' in my head. I also like that they're more rough and tumble than most toy breeds and very much dog. But I have a definite appreciation for a cuddly lap dog as well. I think that will come at a different point in my life though.
