..where a hawk will probably pick you up and eat you or someone will run you over with a car.
Or a Chazzer will scoop him up steal him...and throw him in a crate...

Nyx is the second big dog I've had who likes to crawl into small crates. Morgan is 20 pounds, so her crate is smallish and if the door is open, Nyx, who is about 65 pounds will crawl in there and turn around and lie there quite pleased with herself. Hey, she has the option and can leave any time.

Thankfully you're not a "mainstream dog owner". If you were, I would be out of work.
I was thinking the same thing. I deal with your average dog owner on a daily basis as it's my job and luckily for me, my staff, and more importantly THE DOGS, they are nothing like Crush.

lol, mine will often load up 2 to a crate. They get a little overzealous about the cookie prospect.
Yeah mine attempt the 2 or 3 to a crate routine at meal times . . . silly fools!:lol-sign:

More than once Blue has squeezed himself into the smaller crates at work if he thinks I have food. And then he refuses to come out until he gets a cookie. He likes the abuse.

Beautiful British Columbia!!
Badger our 100 pound Bouvier used to squeeze into our westie Maddies dog house that was made for her. And we even had a big one made for him. But he would refuse to use that one. Oh the horrors of a dog self abusing!

Look she is trying to escape the life of being in a crate is terrible!

i also think crush is a little confused as to how TINY a toy breed dog is...
laurs crates are perfectly sized for her TINY dogs.
crush is trying to say they cant stand up turn around ect...well just because your dogs 14lbs at 3 months...lol, my 2 full grown cresites way about that much...
theres a HUGE difference in size.
those crates for your dog crush would be curel...but laurs dogs are itty bitty papillions.

jasper and rubies crates are stacked...
and when i say night night they both run to their crates. jasper spins in circles and if i dont open his door quick enough he starts barking at me...
BUT thats not cruel enough...not only do they sleep in closed crates at night (i might add again that they get excited about goign into) but...but...get this...
i actually cover them up!
it has nothing to do with the fact that jasper yells at me if i DONT put a blankie over his head...nope i do it because im a cruel horrible person!

and to make it even worse...
i put CLOTHES on my dogs
im a horrible horrible person!
i can imaging ruby and jasper running free however, it would be funny, first rainfall and theyd be cowering miserable under a bush...jasper wont go outside if its raining without his rain slicker he HATES having a wet back!
and snow....HA, now that would get me the title of "abusive" just the evil looks i would be getting from the crestis sat out in the snow, staring at me plotting my demise.
not to mention the wowies...that would be it...id be killed in my sleep lol.

i also find it incredibly funny that MR "i have one dog" is complaining that dogs in crates dont get to interact naturally "with their pack"
you know, cause theres so much interaction between dogs when they sleep.
lets see, ive got 6 dogs right here...right now...
jaspers on the back of the sofa asleep...dodgers on the back of the OTHER couch asleep. vixies by my leg, charlies at the top of the stairs and rosies ina completly sepearte room and rubies having soemthing to eat! yup, lots of pack interaction there!
sure if given the chance jasper would much prefer to sleep ON ruby...and ruby would much prefer if he whent away...
but as a pack, they all prefer to be on their own, in seperate places all over the house...
yup, im abusive, omg i dont force them to all sleep together in a tight little ball.
you knwo what else im abusive for...during the day...i make them all go outside together but i dont make them stay all together in a pack OMG, yup im evil, see my horns!?

do i get "most absisive dog owner of the year" award or what?!
i like prizes!

*rolls eyes* seriously.
if im abusive id hate to meet a "kind" dog owner :rofl1:

zoom, id love it if you could make some english sense out of my expereinces...
the formation of english sentences evades me despite the fact im british lol.

i figured if this has to be such a ridiculous thread about how one guy thinks puppymills are doggy heaven and shelters are doggy hell and crates are pergatory and abusive...there should be something REAL, TRUE and USEFULL in here.

Sorry, but crush is not ignorant... Ignorant people dont HAVE the facts laid out in front of them. Ignorant people never SEE the real facts.

What we have on our hands is one of the WORST (And I dont mean worst , in a good way, because im sure you would take it as a compliment) TROLLS ..

It cant be ignorance. And its to **** stupid to be real stupidity even..

Its either he is a troll or he is one fry short of a happy meal.

THey sell them here on the corner in temperate weather and at the children's park. THat is why i have a stack of papers explaining puppy mills and why purchasing a dog this way is wrong and a sign DO NOT FEED THE PUPPY MILLER ready. I got the right of free speech, if they are there so will I.

Well if his purpose is to make us angry and create havoc, then he is succeeding just with his spelling. If I see "Humain" one more time I am going to cry. Everyone makes the occasional error, but his repeat until they are like nails on a chalkboard.

Of course if he knows this riles us up and increases his spelling errors even a little, his posts will become completely unintelligible and we won't have a problem.

Sew-w-w-w-w....Crush apparently has moved on...too void of brain cells to answer those questions or comments which far too easily put him in a corner, I guess. He must have moved onto another forum to see what he could stir up. So here we are with a big tossed salad and no one to eat it. (Okay...really bad metaphor) But don't you just feel like you just picked yourself up off the pavement and you're saying, "huh?" It's very weird to me....the effects of this troll phenomenon.
