Too many people contain there baby in a car seat. Not when they are riding in the car.
THis whole thread makes me sad.

^^But why??? I think I'd be a lot more willing to have kids if I could crate them every now and again! :rofl1:

I believe Renee nailed it with her term of "willfully ignorant". Other than getting a kick out of being a "mainstream douchecanoe", there is no reason on Earth for why someone could honestly believe that puppymills are good things.

Foxy, I would love to help you edit your post into a publishable format! Will give me a chance to use this degree o' mine and stop mindsets like the one posted in this thread.

LolasDad--The Hunte Corporation is just as bad as any run-down puppymill, moreso because THEY are the ones enabling such a horrific trade. If the fancy suits weren't placing mass orders for a gross of Multipoos every other week, the millers would have to go out of business and find a way to make a living that doesn't involve the blind torture and early death of countless animals. Even most cattle live in better conditions than puppymill breeder dogs.

And that brings tears to my eyes.........especially because most cattle will be OUT OF THERE in way less time than those dogs will have to endure :(

I guess Romeo loves to be abused because I have the SAME CRATE as pictured in laurs post and he goes in there willingly. he brings his toys in there, sleeps in there and hangs out in there.
When I come home from class, hes usually asleep in there or playing with a toy in there and happy as a clam

when I have times I need him to be contained Ill put him in there and hes perfectly content to be in there. Most of the time when I open the door he doesn't even bother coming out. Its his space and it helps him feel secure

Those crates might look tiny to you because you're dog wouldn't be comfortable in one, but to a chihuahua or papillon they are fine, ESPECIALLY if only used for eating and sleeping.
Im not sure if you realize but your dog is "medium"..My dog is 5 1/2 pounds, there is a SIZE DIFFERENCE and with that, crate size difference. what is fine for my dog is probably not for yours. and it also depends on what Im using that crate for

How cruel, Dan. Now the babies can't run wild and free in packs like they would in their natural state. *SAD FACE*

lol, mine will often load up 2 to a crate. They get a little overzealous about the cookie prospect.

I'm not defending them. All I said was that they are a middleman. If the puppy mills were to close they would cease to exist also. They are a part of what keeps the mills open. If they were to close down without the millers closing down the millers would continue to exist. They would find alternate ways of getting their puppies to the stores. Just as some millers get their puppies to the stores through brokers besides the Hunte corporation just as some stores do now. Not all the dogs go through Hunte. I read somewhere on line how some people will just pick up dogs right from the mills and drive them to the pet stores right away. The one story I read about they were doing it illegally because they were not licensed but they continue to do it.

I have a medium sized crate for Bailey, and Chances wire crate is in the family room, he takes his toys in there sometimes.

I tossed a treat in for Bailey and said, "crate" and she ran in and then Chance ran in too! he squished himself in there, WITH Bailey, and looked up at me with his dopey brown eyes like, "wheres mah treat mom?!"
