For what it's worth, there is NOTHING wrong with you. There would seem to be something wrong with the guys that like to hurt you though.

Sorry you got hurt. I hope you find a great catch like me someday.

I'm sure there's NOTHING wrong with you. I hope you find a wonderful man someday who treats you right. Maybe you could try to go for someone different from your normal. Like, if you tend to go for the bad boy type, try dating a geek or a nerd. There are some really cute ones, and they can be a lot smarter and nicer.

Sorry Maya.... like other people have said, it isn't you. Guys are difficult. I'm kinda where you are or pretty close to it I bet.

*HUGS*

Hang in there. The right person's out there for you. You'll find him.

((((HUGS))))

Maybe you just need to give it another try.... my guess who hurt you is from someone who has been in your life for awhile... maybe you need to try it with someone fresh?

...And no, there is nothing wrong with you!!

This is oh so true! The best people come along out of the blue when you are not looking for them.. When you are comfortable in yourself and know where you are heading, you become so much more appealing to men.

I'm sorry to say that being needy is quite a turn off for guys, plus not everyone you meet wants to start a huge full blown relationship right from the get go, quite often this alone frightens men off.. Try developing friendships first and see where it goes from there, try not to read too much into things and over analyse and just take one day at a time.

Is there something you have always wanted to do, a hobby or something that would get you out and meeting people with simular interests? I think that maybe it's because you are lonely that you are putting so much emphasis in having to have a relationship.. Get the girls round, get TONS of ice cream and a chick flick and let your hair down a bit! ;)

Stop trying to force situations. It is not going to work. Men prefer mature women (not saying you are immature) that can handle themselves and being alone. No one likes feeling that they are responsible for the happiness of others. Trust me, once you become ok being alone, that is when love hits you!

True.

And then they go *rescue* a pathetic, needy damsel in distress and don't wake up until they realize they're tied to a ball cutter and they've already been clipped.

i wasnt trying to force anything..
this thread actually isnt about who you all might think it is...

*sigh*
I dont even know how to explain what happened... I thought that thiings were great with this new guy, but apparently they were great between him and several other women... I think the hurt comes not from this individual guy, but from the face that every other man i have ever dated, has cheated on me.. so this is just opening the old wounds... it hurts.

but.. guess who came to the rescue last night with chocolate ice cream?
yep.. good ol' Kyle. I didnt tell him anything about this new guy but my friend Theresa texted him last night. I had texted her becuase i needed to talk about things and she was working, so she called Kyle and told him what was going on and that I needed someone to talk to.... next thing I know, Kyle's knocking on my door with ice cream.

but if you and him were just dating and there was NO talk of an actual commitment to each other, then you really cant be mad at him...

im not trying to be mean but its the truth..

but if there was an actual commitment then I completely understand the hurt your feeling, been there done that

Every bad thing that happens is preparing you in some way for when the right guy does come along... It's hard to see when you're in it, but later on you realize that you would never be the "the person you are today" without all the pitfalls along the way.
