We've been looking for almost 1 year now for a show prospect Harlequin Male and we finally got our guy, couldn't be happier. Went through 5 failed breeding's and had two dogs who were placed in homes who had previously lost dogs from previous litters so it wasn't much fun. On top of that it is so tough to find a Harlequin that has solid potential so we couldn't really pick and choose since they're few and far between. Couple of overexposed skies - just ignore those. He is already 32 pounds at just over 9 weeks old.

Without further ado, Likuta -

Holy carp! Congrats on your beautiful little (er... big) boy! :) Those are some amazing pictures of him.

Harls are my favorite... they are just stunning.

So cute. My fav color. Although I would have gotten a girl.

Is he marked right? Im not a Dane person, but I heard that the Hars are hard to find a properly marked one. I seen a judge throw out an entire class because none were marked right

He's only 9 weeks old?! He's going to tower over your girl!

I just spent the better part of tonight around a Harl female and a grossly undersized brindle(?) 5 month old pup. I think your boy at 9 weeks is bigger than this 5 month old!

Thanks everyone. We're just so glad we finally got him home and he's fitting in so exceptionally well. Sure is making me exhausted though. :)

Thanks. He is marked correctly, the Harls should have a white neck/collar and chest. It is so incredibly hard to find one that is properly marked but also one that has proper conformation and sound breed standard. His structure right now is gorgeous so I'm very pleased with that.

Anything is possible though. I once saw a champion Harl with the biggest merle patch I've ever seen across the right side of his face and down his neck, it was unsightly but his conformation was so incredibly sound it didn't cost him. Tough color to show but we're excited to see how he does. :)

I tried carrying him home after our quick romp in the field across the street and I had to put him down a couple times he was too heavy. :D He definitely will be quite the big boy. Boots isn't done growing yet either.

Thank you.

Both of them have pretty strong BMW lines in them but they are American style Danes. I would have to take a look at their pedigrees again to tell you exactly what other lines as I can't recall offhand. They both are pretty big boned which is nice, I love the European Danes as well but I like the size of the American Dane. Looking like I'm getting a perfect mix of both with these two. I'm hoping that his ears decide to stand sooner rather than later. :D

Awww mooooosh!

Edited: Both of my girls are BMW on both sides :) But as you can see, they are not breed standard with regard to color :p

He's gorgeous!
