I've always said if I were to create a designer dog, it'd be the Giant Papillon. Seriously... imagine a papillon the size of a Great Pyr... how awesome would that be?

I was hoping to get some serious feed back ,not smart remarks ,is everyone on this site just a bambi loving tree hugger with a poddle or a lab they take to the doggie park, and think they know all about dogs because they have one they treat like a person with human attributes ,or are there actually knowledgeable people here with valid responses

hrpayne--if you are serious about wanting a serious discussion--I suggest you go to the forum introductions and make an introduction post. Tell us about yourself.
Read through the forum--you will see that there are many members who breed, who show, who work their dogs, and yes, who have companion dogs. You are not the only one who has knowledge in those areas.
If you want a serious discussion--try approaching it differently. Or, yes, you will continue to get discussions about treeing woodles.

Bambi's are delicious. And trees are very beautiful, but I haven't hugged one since I was 6 and was trying to stop myself falling out of the tree. (had a belly full of slivers.. so I take it trees don't like being hugged) I would not take my dogs to a dog park, and don't treat my dogs like humans. Genetics are my 'thing'

All that said I think your plan is misguided and unnecessary. HOWEVER if you want to create a new breed make sure you have lots of cash, a good plan and lots of space. Also please learn more about genetics. F1 isn't going to impress anyone, not even most laymen. To create a breed you need to plan for F20 and beyond. I am glad someone decided to breed another hunting terrier as I love my JRTs, so if you are serious have at it, just do it ethically.

You're right. We're all bambi loving tree huggers. You've come to the wrong place.

You want serious feed back? Okay...here it is. What you're proposing is not a good idea. There are already enough breeds of dogs....something like over 400. Surely, somewhere in there, there must be at least one that can do what you're talking about. Too many dogs already that need homes. Mixing several breeds together will make mixed breed dogs for a long time, until the breed become homogenous. And not every Tom, Dick and Harry know all the science it takes to create a healthy, viable, new breed. You sound like either Tom, Dick or Harry to me.
