No kidding? Huh... Wish I could say I didn't see that coming, but sometimes the BS smells right through the computer screen....
Of course, if your intact dogs are in "someone elses" care then it's not your fault they ended up having puppies. Use this story and everyone on the next forum you join will love you and say "ZOMG cute puppies!" since it's not your fault

So, you're unable to truly engage in a hypothetical debate when questioned but you're able to critique others opinions within said debate?
Crikey, when did we join the debate team?

I can join whatever I like when I feel like it.. perhaps I'm sat here in my PJ's and socks thinking.... I've been in work all day and I can't be arsed to debate the 'pros and cons of dog testicle ownership within the modern society' today.

Maybe... I just think you catch more monkeys using bananas than throwing out poison arrows.

I guess it's easy to change your story and switch to a different forum when you don't get the replies you want to begin with  ;)
Umm on another dog forum i sai the following.

When we got Mason we wanted to fix him asap, however like many people are we had forgot to, i was away in basic training most of his up bringing. So when i came back we decided to get it done as quickly as possible. However he had gotten her before we did. Now he is fixed, too late but now when she goes into it again, we will be safe.
We had Mason set up for snip snip, however a few days before the snip, misty went into heat before we knew what happened, she got pregnant, which im not saying im not to blame.
^ Is the same as my other story here, however not as much detail as the bigger longer one i made on this forum. I had forgot to fix him sooner, when the time came before I had to leave, the snip snip was moved to a date I had to leave by.

I didn't change stories, both are accurate, however the forum I was getting demolished on I did not give as much information, no one was as helpful here than there. I'm giving as much information as I can, since all this pregnancy and stuff was never told to me while I was in basic training, So im guessing she got pregnant before I got back and he was not fixed while I was gone, of course since I had to do it when my friend said she would.

Now you just made people hate me more for you saying im making two different stories up. Jesus chrimany.

For once we agree! The only reason Oaks is getting neutered is because he has to be to do tracking.
Personally all mine will be snipped, chopped and sliced as I am not willing to own an intact dog and take that chance.

I can't even remember when my periods are due, never mind tracking a bitches too. Pure convenience for me :)

Just an honest question here... Forgive me if you had already answered it.

If you knew they bred and you were only gone for a total of 5 weeks. Unless they bred before you left, she couldn't have been very far along.

Why did you not do an emergency spay?

Even if she got bred the week after you left you still would have known she was in heat before you left and should have taken precautionary measures if that was the case.

I don't think anyone hates you. The "when she goes into it again" part makes me nervous though, I hope you're truly committed to altering Misty after her puppies wean.

To those who are curious, females are in heat and dribble blood for 7-11 days on average before they'll flag/stand for breeding. This should allow plenty of time to separate and or neuter your males. Also before a mating dogs will get extremely flirty and make attempts of leaning over, pawing over, and mounting one another prior to the real deal. This is something easy to watch for even with silent heats. Keeping a close eye on your dogs interactions and limiting the amount of time they have alone together will help prevent accidents from sneaking up on you.

Just some advice to hopefully curb future incidents!

I was in basic training for 5 weeks however, I had not returned home to the dogs until about 8 weeks after I had first left. Now I did not know she was pregnant while I was gone, nore when I returned, I was told they did not mate, I got mason fixed and when I noticed her behavior changing and her nipples beginning to get larger thats when I took her to the vet, that certain vet said they coudn't do anything like that.

So I'm not to sure what happened while I was gone, even so when no one sent me letters about the dogs.

My bitches that wont be bred will be because of that reason. Males Im more MEH about because they arent around intact bitches in the house or in the family.

Okay then, i guess you left all that out in your stories.

I'm not blaming my friend, if you would read my posts, I've owned up to it that I should have done everything before I left for Basic, the stress and studying, testing, ect. I forgot to do it earlier and the fix got moved and well they never went to it.

I'm not blaming anyone for my mistake, it would not have happened if i had done it sooner.

So why don't you move along to someone elses thread and put them down? Come on to my thread and point fingures and stuff when you really don't know much at all about my story.

Now I'm totally confused. You brought Mason home in June 2010 and left for basic training in July 2010 for 5 weeks.

Weren't these puppies born in May 2011? Gestation is 63 days. The dates aren't adding up for me.

And if my friend truly was the one who missed the neuter appointment, I would've mentioned it on the previous forum.

Sorry I left somethings out of my story on what happened, its all confusing because of how it happened, the stress while I was down there in hell, and being discharged from fighting for america, and then being assulted here(some) different questions, I forgot to say things about what happened that i forgot to add so im really sorry.

It just doesn't stop, does it.

Do we have more productive threads we can go spend time on instead?

I'm referring to absolutely everyone involved, sides or no. It's all getting rather ridiculous.

When I say we got them fixed I mean my husband and I however I had a lot of things to do when I got back, so i dont really know when he did get fixed, i know it was as soon as possible. Unless while I was busy doing a lot of things she got pregnant by a different dog?

Yeah... I'm thinking none of us do seeing as it changes from post to post, forum to forum...

Here's an idea. Turn those babies in to a rescue because you're clearly more concerned with looking good to a bunch of strangers on the internet than doing right by your dogs.
Rescues can always place puppies, they will put the adoption fees to good use, and they will make sure the pups go to screened homes with contracts and future home checks etc. If you need help finding a good rescue in your area, I'd be happy to help.

Sigh... I looked around elsewhere, I commented, I looked on other forums, I looked outside (it's ugly) and then I came back here because... well... Hypocrisy and deniability is extremely entertaining when you avert your eyes from the sheer horror of it.

You're obviously lying. Otherwise your dog needs to go into the Guinness Book of World Records as Misty The Amazing 6 Month Gestation Dog. Watch her puppies grow inside of her for an astounding 180 days!
