me too. ..
I have seen the heartache that comes with animal rescue, fostering, and I've known people who've been in tight situations. I think some members here are getting burned out from hearing the same thing over and over and over again. The animal is sick, but WAIT! Its not my fault, I'm too young, too far away, too poor... As squirtsmom said. What happens when you ask for the vets name and number to send some $$... and "magically" the animal got better..?
Just as we are interpreting certain posts on THIS thread different ways, as its been said before, How do we know that the threads, "pleas for help" aren't written in exaggeration? After all,
you and I can see the
same exact thing and say it totally different when retelling the tale
Honestly, I think its damned if you do, damned if you don't in a situation like this. No matter what you do, people are going to judge you. So, naturally, you NEED to do whats best for you, your situation, AND the animals, children, whatever.
OF COURSE we all get uptight when we think an animal is getting neglected, mistreated, whatever. We're DOG LOVERS... this is a dog lover forum... right?
It
should upset us!! I'll admit now, that maybe several times even I have jumped the gun... anyone else want to fess up with me?
I think we just need to watch how we're wording things, and remember that we don't all have to agree all the time.
With the no money = no dog dog thing... yea... okay ... Agree to Disagree already !!
I think ya'll need some cheesecake or something . . .
One of the kindergartners told me today... "Miss Dana... you need to
chillax!!" rofl
