Eve pokes me with her nose and plants her butt on the ground, plasters her ears to the back of her head and STARES with all her might.

Auggie scratches at the door and does a little dance. If nobody is near the door to hear him he starts barking.
If he scratches the door once and I ask him if he's serious (little liar), if he REALLY has to go, he starts dancing frantically. If he's not serious he just kinda stands there and stares at me.

I never managed to get Pepper to do anything to let me know she wanted to go out. She didn't pee in the house but she seemed to have "OMG MUST POOP" realizations and would attempt to poop in the house without any kind of alert system (LOL) or even trying to head to the door. Happy would hit the door, too, but I don't think Kota ever ever EVER asked to go out.

I'm thinking about making one of those bell-hanger things... of course that would be a disaster with the puppy right now because I'm SURE he would try to eat them. But maybe eventually. =P

Maddie will come stand in front of me, stare, and back up.
This is usually when I ask her "do you need to go outside?" and she'll over dramaticise heading towards the door.
BUT if I ignore her, she'll persist with the staring and backing up, then she'll nose bump, and back up... And monkey-whine. "uh uh uh" noises :rofl1: and if I STILL ignore her, she paw my legs.
Yes, I'm mean and I let it get that far sometimes  it's just that, when she was younger she used to play the "out/in" game to I wait to make sure she really has to go lol because sometimes she feels the need to act like a puppy again, if she hasn't been exercised forthe day or whatever.

Bailey doesn't tell me, she Goes everytime another dog goes out lol

Mine don't, unless they really, really have to go badly. I let them out during the day at different intervals, and so they never really have an opportunity where they need to ask. But if they ever do need to go badly and I haven't let them out (usually only happens if one isn't feeling well suddenly), they pace frantically.

Lacey rarely lets me know that she needs to go out. When she does let me know, she will pace back and forth from the door to me. If I don't respond fast enough she will pace faster and whine, grumble, and pant.

When I ask "do you want to go outside?" She hops around, whines, grumbles, and barks at the door. She is good about not lying. If I ask her & she doesn't have to go, she either ignores me or wags her tail.

The only time she ever paces is when she REALLY has to poop. So I know it's pretty serious when she starts that lol.

Mine don't really ask. Fudge will sit very stiffly at the door and let out a little whine of he needs out . . . but he also does that if he sees a dog being walked in the distance so it ccan be hard to tell. At night he paces, jumps onto my bed, moves around, jumps off, whines and repeats until I get up. It has to be an extreme emergency for him to wake me up at night though, he likes his beauty sleep!!

During the day I try to get the dogs out every 3ish hours and that seems to work well for us.

Ronin, in his very deep voice, will howl at me and hang out near the front door. He sort of does the same thing when he wants to play, but there are some subtle differences.

When he wants to go out, he'll stand pretty steadily by the front door. When he wants to play, he goes into his play bow, and paces back and forth like he's looking for trouble.

Mushroom whines at the door. Steve kicks it. Luce doesn't really ever ask.

Buster and Quinn lie at the back door, and if we don't notice then they scratch at it.
Mac sits and whines and whines and whines and whines and whines at any door she wants to go through.

Gatsby doesn't tell me AT ALL, but if I'm watching him very carefully I can tell that he's full. He has very good bladder control and never ever goes in the house.

Marsh will toll me. He'll walk in to view, and then walk away in the approximate direction of the door. Then he'll walk back to me, then away again. And back to me... until I get the hint and take him out. And when Marsh needs to go out, he needs to go out RIGHT THEN!!! or else he WILL pee right in front of you as if to say "This is what you get when you don't listen."

Cody, my childhood dog, would sit at the back door and then scratch if you didn't notice. He'd also bark to come back in, like a perfect Disney dog.

Chloe just kind of bugs me, and if I don't see the signs, she'll go to the door.

Violet sits down by the door and STARES directly at you, until you let her out. o_O It's freaky sometimes. If you don't, she'll come bug you, whine, or jump up and hit the doorknob with her nose.

Ivan nudges the door handle. He starts at the back door and if that doesn't get noticed. He will run to the front, nudge and then run to the back door. REpeat until he gets noticed. AND if that doesn't work (normally its the hubby), he will find a suitable spot for him and PEE while looking at you.
If hes in his crate, he will wine and nudge at the door.

Peewee sits at the back door and does short woofs.

Baxter will prance back and forth in a trot--which tells me he reeaaaally needs to go. Wilson will paw at me if he needs to go out--but it's usually just to go mark over where Baxter went.

Chloe starts off by staring at you. Then she gradually gets closer and closer. Then she breaths on you. Then she puts her paw on you. Then she jumps into your lap. Then she jumps into your lap, jumps off, does a little hop, and then stares at you again. She gets more and more dramatic the more she has to go. LOL

If she needs to go out and you say, "Do you have to go outside?" she'll woof, do a little hop up in the air, and then bounce to the door. If she really has to go she'll throw in a few more bounces and spins, and maybe another woof.

Rose just paces around and until you notice her, and then if you move to the door she'll go to it.

Mia doesn't really ask. She tends to just assume she's about to be let out based on my actions. If that makes sense. I wake up and get ready and then let her out every morning so after a few times of that, she realizes she's going to be let out and then beats me to the door without a word. Or after I feed them and let Beau out of his kennel, she thinks they need to go out.

Any mention of certain words (the biggest ones being 'outside' or 'go' or 'the dogs') and she sometimes decides that equals going outside. And sometimes they just both seem to feed off of each other until they're pretty sure I'd told them to go outside...

My two are quite frankly idiots when it comes to these things. Summer does donuts around the couch and Mia goes to the back door and shrieks at me. If you ignore them, they keep doing donuts and shrieking. When Summer starts doing frantic laps around the couch that means she needs to go potty. When she does donuts outside that means she needs to poop. Weird dog. Mia also will sometimes hit you on the head until you let her out.

I know, I should train them better. lol

Mine rings her poochie bells. If we are somewhere without bells, she will just pace back and forth in front of the door, staring at it as if willing it to open.

I have a bell hanging next to the front door that I trained them to ring. I just rang it when I took them out at first and in a few days they started doing it. Sometimes if I am in the living room with them they will just get up and then stand halfway between me and the door and stair at me.
