Pretty sure those that see little green links are insane, for I see nothing.

They sound like the result of those malware programs that find text and highlight it to go to different sites.

IT just has no place in the text and has nothing to do with it. I think it is distracting.

If you click around enough you'll see them. On this page, the title is partially green and Boemy's quote is partially green. Or check out Dizzy's signature.

Ads like those, so pushy, so rude,

I find to be obnoxious and crude,

Persuade to purchase or to click,

I do not think they do the trick.

Last I looked, I was so vexed,

Upon those links I placed a hex,

You may not know just who I am,

Best rid this place of green link spam!

Sheer poetry! *applause, applause* :hail:

I do not like them in a quote box,

I do not like them in Firefox.

I do not like them here or there.

I do not like them anywhere!

I clicked on one just to see. It said play at home..the person had written about how the dogs could play at home. WHat i got was nothing that had anything to do with the thread. THat is the main reason i don't like them but i will click on some more to see if it is in anyway more helpful. FOr now it just seems to be one more thing to ignore.

for example on this the green was on nothing to do. SO i clicked on it and got this.

Boemy Seuss and member Pam,

None of us like green link spam,

Blood will boil, pressure rise,

Who's in charge, hear our cries,

All of us have been surmising,

Chazhound can prevent uprising,

From our presence, links should molt,

lest there be a big revolt.

Look at Benjamin, he turned green!

The likes of which should not be seen,

Now Ben, he was a real winner,

Certainly not a mere beginner!

Okay, now this is getting really serious! I just tried to highlight a couple of sentences in someone's post and you can't highlight those @#*&! green #@%&* links! So, now you can't copy and paste. I don't always want to quote the whole post. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! :wall::wall::wall: So now, I am not sure if I'll reply to that post because it won't make sense without the copy and paste.

yeah I just tried to read a thread and it was full of green links and was quite distracting. one here or there is not a big deal but it's all over.

AC lol sorry I had to laugh... that reminds me of a jeff foxworthy bit about the cheapest lasik in town..."I don't want the cheapest VASECTOMY in town" lol

Anyway... if the links led to anything that was meaningful it might be more tolerable but they just lead to spam sites. so instead of the spammers coming to us... we are going to them

please please rethink this addition... or at least make it a less intrusive color. please and thank you much :D

Really? I could not highlight when I tried.

That's almost funny that links was green and underlined. Almost....not quite. LOL.

Yeah, it really ticks me off when people spam the forum, but you can avoid them. These things....there's only one way to escape them.
