Just a curiosity.

We've had up to 6 before (and now are back at 6 with Ada here for the time being). For some reason 6 seems like a whole lot more than 5.

I've had 12 dogs in my house at one time. We had a sleepover with mama dog and her litter of 5 puppies. Mama dog and 3 of the pups moved on to their new foster homes the next day though, 2 stayed with me as fosters.

My own dogs, 6 is the highest number. 5 right now, 6 tomorrow (new foster coming home!!) :D

Five. Never again. Two is my magic number now....perfect.
Two is a great number! I enjoyed having two. Then some days I really enjoy having 5 and watching them interact with each other. But sometimes I definitely miss just having two dogs (don't think I could ever just have one dog though).

I grew up with three dogs in the house at once, but that was when I was a kid. Since being out on my own, we've only had the one Morgan. :p

FOUR!

I sometimes miss just having 1-2 (like this weekend trying to pack up myself and stuff for 4 dogs for an agility trial) but I wouldn't trade them for anything!

I've never owned more than one, but I've been Temporary Food Lady to two before.

I liked it. Even when the two dogs didn't get along. I especially liked Middie and Lucy, though, as they not only got along well but tired one another out. Middie really does need a friend, at the very least so that he doesn't obsess over kittens. "FRIENND? Youz my friend? Itty bitty kitten be friendz wif me?"

Three. And I like having three dogs around, too. Much more than that and I go bonkers, but two or three is a perfect number for me.

We've owned three at once.

However last spring there was a time when we had 6 in the house i believe. The three Pugs, Tequila, Stitch, and Reese.

One.

Two is really scary to me. I keep deciding I want #2 and get all excited about it, and then do something to move towards it, and then get all nervous again.

My one is just so darn perfect. :)

When I first got Jackson, my mom's dog was still alive so we had two. We also spend a few nights a week at my dads house equaling 3 dogs. But in my "adult life" ;) Jackson has been MY only dog.

I've had up to 3, which was a bit much with two of them being young, fenced yard, and only me taking care of them.

I'd be fine with just one I think, as long as he/she was a dog that I could do everything I wanted to with. Though I love Frodo dearly, he's just not that dog :p
Plus I think 2 would be easier now that I have Ryan, who can help out.

2. First it was Argon. Then Argon and Neon. Then Argon and Grimm. Then Argon and the two puppies, though the pups weren't at the same time. Now it's Argon and Gambit and I'm closed for foster.

When I'm in a differnt place (ie, not in a 400 square foot apartment!), I would love to foster again, but I think two is the right number for me to have as my own. Of course, should a long haired whippet (oh, who am I kidding, any whippet) come up for adoption, I might be persuaded....

Not now though, not until I have Gambit's issues under control.

3 permanently and 4 with one as a foster (Sadie). I really like 3 and could handle 4 - as long as everyone is getting along. Actually I think if the ages were staggered we could do more but I'm pretty happy with 3. It's already a giant PITA trying to load them in the car lol.
