Kinda inspired by the other thread.
Buster I am ever grateful for teaching me how important dogs are in my life - if not for him I would have never found out so early how much of a dog nerd I am. He also started teaching me to watch my own body language and how it effected him.
Quinn is ever teaching me to watch body language, think faster and react faster to her. Raising her without any unfair force has created a dog that doesn't understand that a raised voice is indicative to getting punished therefore has made me a much better trainer by not falling back on "or else" to make her listen.
And overall. I am grateful for them teaching me patience more than anything. I do think learning to be a better trainer has helped me have overall better control on my emotions and I rarely get frustrated with them anymore when we're working.
So... what is the thing you most appreciate learning from your dog/s?
