I don't ask questions to make people look silly or anything.
But I will admit, sometimes when people leave themselves open for certain interpretations, I will call them on it even though the answer is obvious, and usually it was quite clear that they didn't mean it "that" way.
To me, there just seem to be so many loopholes in Christianity.
Like this whole masterbation issue. If you REALLY REALLY wanted to go by the book, you should believe that masterbation is... well you know, a sin.
But, it seems as though most Christians here don't believe that. So, (no offense to anyone) some people DO pick and choose what they want to believe and what they don't think is "reasonable" in today's day and age. If that makes any sense.
So if people who call themselves Christians, can pick and choose, why can't people who don't believe fully in the Christian faith, pick and choose what to believe and still call themselves Christians?
If that makes any sense whatsoever.
