I am making a big batch of fresh salsa, guacamole, chicken quesadillas, some mini pizzas, and I don't know what else even though it's the night before!
So? What are ya'll cooking/eating/buying for the bowl?
Not sure what I will be eating. But, I'm wondering if I can make it through the ridiculous pre-game show (wtf? really?) and the marathon at half-time. I read somewhere that the half-time show is so long this year that the players will have to eat some snacks to maintain their energy for the second half.
We are having a "Big Game Party" (can't say the "S" word) at our church. One of the members is making chili. We will be watching the game on the screen in our fellowship hall.
Oooooooooooooooo TAMALES! I've been wanting some fresh tamales for MONTHS NOW but keep forgetting to buy the junk to make them I do miss that about AZ......we had the sweetest little old Mexican neighbor lady (if you call 2 miles away a neighbor, LOL) who made huge batches of fresh tamales and would come door to door selling them (still WARM!) for CHEAP! *drools* Best tamales I've ever had........or probably ever will!
And yes, I heard the same about the 1/2 time show Ah well, that will be intermission so I doubt we will even bother watching............but then we might miss a commercial! ROFL!!
I'll be at home eating leftover Pizza Hut, lol. I wish there was a superbowl party or something i could go to!
Goooooo Steelers! I guess...I'm not a huge football fan, lol. I'm mostly watching for the commercials.
The NFL has the copyright on "Superbowl". If you are having a party to watch the game, especially one you are going to advertise (even in a church bulletin board), you are not allowed to say "Superbowl" without paying an exorbitant fee. If you pay attention, you can hear radio spots advertising, "Come to Joe's Sports Bar and watch The Big Game"
The way I wrote it, it probably came across that you can't say "Superbowl" at my church. That's not the problem
Superbowl plans? Well I have training mid-day and then a dinner planned for the evening. No time for this football foolishness. It's all about dogs that bite and szechwan cuisine
After SAR training, I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl with SailenAero and her SO. And we'll most likely have our own puppy bowl going on with Boone and Aero. Oh, and there will be pizza, chips, salsa, etc.
