I prefer athletic looking dogs that are compact and squarely built. I used to only want a large dog, but I really miss having a smaller dog. They are much more convenient when travelling, etc. Anything between 15-35 pounds is ideal. I like most coat types, but I really love wire-haired dogs and curly coated breeds best.
Some breeds that appeal to me strictly on physicality are border terriers, poodles (Miniature), and schnauzers (standard).

I like large, athletic dogs with long legs, muscular bodies and short coats. Sighthounds and primitive breeds are some of the most beautiful to me.

My favorite thing in dogs, lately, is blue eyes and a dark coat. I don't know why, I'm just drawn to that look.

Also, I'm a sucker for tight-lipped faces and intelligent eyes. I would snatch this dog up in a heartbeat.

I like rough coated Border Collies with a traditional white/black markings. More black than white. I prefer prickd ears but I think my Bandit is just as handsome with his floppy ones. I also prefer a sharper face and a leaner build than what my dog has.

This dog is beautiful.

Hmm interesting.

I like light boned dogs. Build wise I think Paps, BCs and Dobes are pretty much ideal. Actually I like the build of BC/greyhound or BC/whippet mixes the best.

I like long legs, I don't care much for dogs with shorter legs in proportion to their bodies like JRTs, Tollers and cattle dogs even though I like their temperaments a lot.

I don't like blockily built dogs or very chunky ones.

I LOVE long muzzles, don't really care for smooshed faces. I love Dobe and Sheltie faces. I don't like big blocky heads either or dogs with an underbite. I also don't like very droopy jowels. Or wrinkles on the faces unless it's forehead wrinkles when the dog looks up or makes a funny face.

Definitely prefer prick ears and big ones to tipped ears or floppy ears. I don't like really long droopy ears as much.

I adore blue/green/lighter colored eyes on a dog.

I prefer merles the best, then partis, then solid colors.

I don't like double dewclaws, yuck! Actually I don't like dewclaws at all. I prefer dogs without them or dogs with their dewclaws removed but I understand it's better to leave them on if they're functional and not floppy so I'm not too concerned about that.

I like medium to rough coated dogs, can't stand curly or continuously growing coats. I like smooth coats too but prefer medium coats over smooth coats. I don't like huge poofy, draping coats either like the show type collies, I just think it's too much work. I don't like wire coats either. My favorite coat type is the single coat like on Cavs and Paps.

Lean, well-muscled dogs with a short coar like sighthounds and bullies. And wirehair dogs or naked dogs. I'm a sucker for big butt muscles. JRTs have fabulous butts.

Leo, to me, is exactly what I love in a dog. Not obtusely muscled but well defined, large in size, not stocky as Rottweilers are becoming these days but not slender either, a good in betweener. Broad chest, and medium sized head. LOTS of expression in his face. Eyebrows that move, wrinkles that form on the forehead when confused or alert. Excellent saber tail that does not curl or kink or touch his back when he is alert. Medium length legs. Medium length snout. He is a balanced dog. Not too much of anything.

Other dogs that I am attracted to, but have nothing in common with the above, is an Ibizan hound (more white than red colouring on the face), Border collies (red merle, or tri, looong coat, pricked ears), Papillon (tri colour with defined ear fringing and as close as possible to a symmetrical face colouring with white line down the center from the head), super long coated chihuahua's and of course Malamutes, black and white with nice defined dark eyeliner, lots of coat. I am an inconsistent person.

I lean toward small, floppy eared, square-ish proportioned body. Above all though, super fluffy, silky, or poofy! I typically like white dogs (but I am super vigilant about tear stains) with black points. Or I like dogs that are part white and part another color.

Maltese are just about the prettiest dogs I can think of, although I'm a bit biased. I wish I could grow Tiffany's hair out that long just to see what she'd look like, but her hair's way too cottony. Plus there's no way she'd put up with that much brushing.

Fluffy dogs running = so cute

Half dog, half marshmallow?

Not small, but I want to cuddle them!

As much as I love fluff though, I do have a soft spot for naked dogs as well

They look so rock and roll, haha.

Aussies, again, I like a smaller with nice rich colors like my Jynxie girl here

I like soft fuzzy dogs who you can bury your face in. I like when the fur is long enough to cover all the ridges in the body, but not so long it's poofy. I like spaniels and border collie type fur.

Face wise, I like spaniel-y looks too. A happy medium. Not smooshed, not elongated. Not blocky, not super skinny. Just a nice, pretty muzzle.

Pantaloons ("butt fluff") are my downfall though. So cute :)

I know I'm biased, but Lucy is the cutest dog in the world to me. Every time I see another dog and think "ahhhh so cute", it's usually because they look like Lucy. I'm not sure if that's the chicken or the egg--that is, do I like her type because I fell in love with her, or did I fall for her because I like her type?

Soooooo, I found a dog that looks like Quinn in Aussie form, and I felt I needed to share ^^ I'm actually not sure what breed he is, but he's for adoption... *wink wink*

A correct breed standard JRT/PRT is not suppose to have short legs. They are not suppose to have a loaded or heavy body as well. If they are 13 inches tall they are suppose to be 13 inches long from the top of the shoulder to the base of the tail. Although it is acceptable for them to be a 1/2 inch longer than the height. Longer than that, they are out of standard :)
In short Jrts/Prts are to be balanced and not those short, long and heavy bodied dogs that people most often see.

I like a medium sized, squarely built dog. With a good solid head, "sharp/chiseled" features and good muscle tone, preferably with a soft, short coat to show it off. Well set, drop ears that are porportionate to the head. Duke's ears are 'rose ears' 80% of the time and it drives me batty. Moderate angulation in the legs. No coneheads (dogs with an awkward point to their head), it just looks weird. I prefer light colored eyes but hazel eyes just look more "wise".

I used to like light boned dogs more, and I still appreciate them a lot. Ibizan hounds will always be a favourite of mine, however I prefer thick boned dogs. However that doesn't mean "large", just dogs with substance to them.

I like a bigger dog, over 70 pounds, short hair, built like a "normal" APBT, not one of the ones with the pumpkin heads. I don't really like prick ears, and I really hate cropped ones. I like Dobermans, but only with a tail and natural ears.
