I really want the collie decoration! It goes perfectly with the study! I'll fight someone for it, hehe.

If you wanna get technical, working dogs who serve a genuine purpose are extremely rare.

For example, take agility and Rally-O. They don't serve a single useful purpose. Same with sled dog racing and weight pull. How much call is there for a dogsled nowdays? They're all hobbies. Not one of them serves a useful function in today's world. They could all be gone, and, in terms of functions and services provided, nobody would ever miss them.

I think the only true working dogs around now are herders, service dogs, hunters, protection animals, LGDs and search dogs. There may be a few I missed, but you get the idea.

That being said, I don't think O.C. was intending to offend everyone on the board. She just prefers dogs that do jobs. To each their own. Although, I can see why people would find that statement on her siggy offensive.

I'm thinking of sticking Chloe on the top of the Christmas tree instead of an angel

Most of everything is a hobby nowadays. Most people just don't rely completely on dogs like they used to. Some do, but they're rare people indeed. Sports are fun, but they're sports. Doesn't make a dog more a dog, just a different lifestyle.

But my main sport is beauty pageants, so I better go help my decoration practise strutting some more.

Back off noludoru! It's mine I said I wanted it FIRST!! It doesn't matter which is the better home, only who called it first!! :p

Alright, send them over... in a box, normal mail... these decorations don't need any fancy shipping
Oh I forgot to tell you, they're brand new! Never been opened or petted or anything, just sittin there on the floor like a good decoration :D
And I'll forewarn you they try and close they're eyes a lot, but all you have to do is nudge 'em and they'll pop back open. They're a lot cuter with their eyes open :p

I think of those as hobbies, too.
I'll take Chloe, Jess, and use her on my Christmas tree. After all, she is a decoration and you can just buy a new one.

Jessie, if PW changes her mind, I'd love a merle chi... I bet she'd fit in quite welll with our "101 Dalmations" themed room if we paint some spots on!
Don't worry about adding spots, I have an English Setter decoration you can have.

I have two other decorations (Dreyfuss and CHyna) people can have if they are interested in a black and tan or red theme.

I also have a beauty pageant reject decoration- very pretty. Sits nicely on a couch pillow. Nice and portable. Red and white. Big ears.
