Miles (roomie's Pomeranian) is on Blue Wilderness (kibble), and Daisy and Rocky (parents' dogs) are on mostly raw, although if we forget to thaw something out, there is a small bag of Innova that serves as backup. All the dogs loves carrots and apples and bananas. Daisy and Rocky both like green peppers and stuff like that. Daisy isn't fond of lettuce unless it has dressing on it for flavor. Give her a naked piece of lettuce and she looks at you like "Why are you trying to feed me leaves? That's not food!" lol
My own dogs, when I can own my own dogs, will likely be fed a combination of kibble (either Kirkland or a new grain-free brand Costco now carries called Nature's Domain, both good food) supplemented with raw meaty bones to clean the teeth. I plan to have multiple big dogs, so I think this will prove more cost-effective.
I read a very good book about raw diet, it is called "Raw Meaty Bones" and it is written by Dr. Tom Lonsdale, DVM, a vet who practices in Australia, I believe. The book can be very technical, and it is mostly about how much raw can improve a dog's dental health (thus improving their overall health, since a gross mouth can lead to other problems), but it is a worthwhile read, IMO. Here is his website for interested parties:
