I thought we had progressed farther than this, at least.

Wow... Just read this whole thread and my head hurts...

Mutt it seems you based your responses on the way you were treated elsewhere, kind of unfair...

I will say Chaz has some very patient posters!!

Oh and... :wall:

Ditto. I can't believe I ate the whole thread.

The reason you resemble a troll is that most of your threads appear to exist for the sole purpose of stirring people up. To come rushing into this forum, this thread and start making accusations of people treating you unfairly on other forums, then projecting that onto this forum is not only unfair, it's illogical. I don't know how many times you made a reference to that.

I have been on this forum since I think....2004 and never once have I seen anyone post anything that could possibly be viewed as an attack regarding kibble feeding or raw feeding practices of others. In fact, you have a lot of nerve Mutts, storming in and making those aggressive kinds of attacks on people here. The way I see it, you're the only one who has been attacking and illogical.

BTW, I feed a premium kibble for various reasons, but not because I think it's better than raw. I believe that raw, done properly is the much more appropriate way for dogs to eat because although behaviorally, I believe they're omnivores, they are, by their body systems, carnivores. No, we don't usually send them out to hunt for their own food, but that bit of intervention on our part doesn't negate the fact that their digestive systems still are that of a carnivore. Just because they sleep inside with us doesn't make their digestive systems different. The way dogs live with humans (as opposed to coyotes or wolves out in the woods) IS what's natural for domestic dogs, btw. But their digestive systems are still that of a carnivore.

One of my dogs is enthralled with eating dog and other animals' (especially deer or rabbit) poop whenever he gets a chance and is able to slip one past me. He is 10 years old and has never had worms or anything else from this disgusting (to humans) habit. When I lived in Idaho, two of my dogs would bring back all kinds of raw things...deer legs and other unidentifiable carcasses. They never got any diseases or problems from these "fabulous" finds. My old Lab use to hunt for wild rabbits and she got them regularly. It kind of made me sad for the bunnies, but she never got sick either from that. I have fed my dogs recently raw meaty bones in summer for an occasional snack to take out in the back yard. I'm perpetually considering switching to raw, but never quite manage to make the change for several reasons. I think both kinds of feeding have their merits and their disadvantages depending on our lifestyles and other factors. I think a lot of people think like me on this forum where that's concerned.

Again, I've never felt or seen that people here were critical of anyone who was feeding their dog a nutritious food, whether raw or a good quality kibble. You just decided to come on here like gangbusters, attacking people, looking like you're out to stir up an argument (not simply disagreeing. NO) making wild accusations and spouting off information which is false...information which is not opinion, but fact, as Jessie and others pointed out. Long before Eddie, our very respected moderator came on this thread, I was thinking, troll....troll....troll as I read your posts.

I thought the calorie comment was funny and was in no way snide, nor did it refer to Mutt in any way.

Can we please just end this thread? It's run its course.
I was just having some fun at Dobers expense, been a terrible week and the mental image of "eating" a thread made me giggle...

I also though off topic silly comments to lighten the mood were a Chaz mainstay...

Sorry.... If it helps Dekka's right it was not intended to be snide nor directed at mutt...

Raw fanatics are CONSTANTLY attempting to force their ideas. People on this forum have been relatively restrained...
I have noticed that! Not necessarily on this forum, but on forums in general.

Mine eat dry food with cooked meat (beef mince, lamb heart etc). They all do very well on it. I have tried raw twice. It makes Todd ill for days, I don't know why. Lucy just won't touch it. Katy likes it, but I just prefer to keep them all on the same, for ease to me. So cooked meat is still nice and healthy for them.

I totally respect people's decisions though, but there really is a lot of preaching when it comes to raw feeding. That Birthday Girl thread in the first post is scary reading though :yikes:

Sorry I guess?
As are threads devolving into lolcats. It's a tradition. Look up any heated thread in the past like... 3 years. They all end in lolcats.

See?

(I suppose I should mention that I feed kibble as well.)

OMG thank you sarahhound.... EXACTLY! I was just trying to state my opinion on kibble.
It's not like I'm saying that raw is bad for all dogs but I think that whatever you choose to feed your dog is a persons individual choice and shouldn't be criticized so vehemently (which it is).
I think there are many different benefits of raw for certain dogs. BUT if your not having an issue with kibble then keep going on it....
I should have been more specific or tactful I suppose because people on here tend to be very sensitive.

Ok seriously. NO ONE has disagreed with you on those points. At all. Whatsoever. You just keep repeating it like people are arguing with you about that. NO ONE is. Everyone agrees with you on that. What they don't agree with is the way you think everyone on here is out to force a raw chicken wing down your dogs throat. Believe me, we aren't.

If you want this thread to die, stop posting in it. You brought it back up again and have made it continue. You are also the one keeping it serious, everyone starts joking towards the ends of these threads. It's why we're all still friends; because we can just let it die and go home happy.

So I guess what I'm saying is to just let it go. Move on, post about your new puppy and stop being on the defensive.
