I thought we had progressed farther than this, at least.

It has nothing to do with your "opposing opinion" and everything to do with your attitude. You put words in people mouths, refuse to answer questions and won't read posts properly.

Let me say it again, NO ONE has an issue with you feeding kibble. Many of us feed kibble. I am feeding kibble right now because my youngest was not maintaining weight on raw. YOU are the only one with a feeding issue here.

Why is it that on this forum when someone has an opposing opinion then it's considered "trolling"??
See this post is a pretty good example of trolling...

Its full of easily falsified info.

If you have read this forum at all you will know that there is loads of opposing opinions, and we tend to welcome debate and people rarely get called trolls.

In fact in this thread alone you seem to be desperately trying to find an argument. I feed kibble, as do many of the people in this thread.. so um your argument is specious.

People tend to be called trolls when they act trollish.. signs are people who ignore posts that agree with them, or points that agree with them so they can keep playing the victim. When they refuse to answer pertinent questions. When they say things like "I'm done" but come back to keep stirring the pot, all without actually reading the posts or ignoring the parts that should 'settle' them down...

So ya.. I call troll behaviour in this thread too.

Reading tone through text can be difficult at times, if it seems like everyone is shoving information down your throat and everyone else seems to find your posts offensive then chances are you need to look back at both your posts and everyone else's posts and read through it again. Try looking at it from a different perspective, maybe you're just reading into something that isn't there. Maybe your own posts are conveying something that you have no intention of saying.

It takes practice to get your intended tone into your posts and even more to ensure that you are getting what is meant from other people's posts. Everyone needs to do this, not just new members. Your posts sounded defensive as well as offensive right from the get go, and it sounds that you likely didn't intend for that to be the case at first. Everyone else's posts were simply in response to what your posts seemed to be saying.

It's part of being on forums or on the internet in general, as I mentioned it takes some practice. And sometimes emoticons can come in handy if you are unsure if your post is clear in it's meaning. ;)

I simply stated my experiences with raw. Nobody liked that too much. The thing is-- I don't care. I don't hate raw or raw feeders but I see a lot of hate (NOT NECESSARILY FROM 100% OF THE PPL ON THIS FORUM) towards kibble feeders. I was simply stating that side of the argument which is the point of these forums. I get the point that you guys feed kibble at times (seriously.... got it thru the old bean) but I've had soooooooooo many ppl bitch at a person for not feeding raw. It ridiculous. Like a matter between life and death...
Blue- you had a mature and dignified explanation. Thank you.

Dekka-- I've read a LOT of the old threads on here (how I decide whether I want to be a member or not) and a LOT of people have been called trolls simply because they didn't agree with the regular members on here.
I gave this forum the benefit of the doubt and here I am.... being called a troll.
Didn't one of the moderators state not to be calling names. Is this true for senior members or just new ones??

But that's not how you started this. You went off and assumed that everyone here were nazi-raw feeders with no room for exception. Had you simply stated "I've come across so many raw-feeders on other forums/in real life that refuse to understand and/or respect people's opinion on the matter. etc." Instead you made a blanket statement that claimed that raw feeders were all the same in this regard. You then went on to say that you had never met a civil raw-feeder, meanwhile this forum is just brimming with them.

What makes people see this whole topic as "gone to the trolls" is that you didn't take the time to read through every post, you skimmed and assumed the rest. Everything else was people's response to what you were posting. If it seemed out of hand then clearly your posts might have had something to do with that. If the topic is causing this much grief than I highly recommend that you leave the topic and wait until you calm down. Emotions can run high when it comes to topics about our beloved pets and friends.

All I can do is assure you that I am NOT a troll but I'm also not liable to smile and nod and agree with every little thing on here.
I agree Blue that I could have said it in a more tactful way but I'm new and still trying to get the hang of this... I have a fairly blunt way of speaking that may come off as abrasive. Trying to work on tact lol

Yup, pretty sure no pro-raw feeders that are active on this forum try to shove it down anyone's throat. We are here to help people make and educated decision that fits their and their dog's lifestyle the best whether or not that is raw.

There are rules on this forum. One of them is to leave outside drama off this forum. Being told your behaviour is trolling is not name calling either.

Puppy dog-- I did leave that drama behind. I haven't mentioned for like 5 days. Maybe you could move on a little quicker.

Maybe they werent but the people on this forum tend to get very..... testy when they are disagreed with.
So deal with that testiness when you see it. No sense in being testy just because there is a possibility you receive objection to your opinion.

Ok well I don't really have anything to add here... any more astute observations on how imperfect I am or how I might be "trolling" or does this just about wrap it up??
