OK so at the time I didnt think they were cravings, but looking back, buying and eating entire cakes probably was a craving lol. I'd spend ages looking at the cake aisle choosing what I wanted. And I've never had a massive sweet tooth.... I even walked out with 3 slices from a cafe because I couldn't decide which I wanted... Hmm lol.

In other news. Babies are just the FUNNEST!!! Kind of like puppies but actually more fun. Dare I say that... Ivy is just learning how to giggle and omg it's amazing and now all I want to do is make her laugh.

Lillian laughing the first time is one of my favorite memories and two years later I still get as excited every time she really laughs <3. How old is Ivy? My favorite age was from about 6-7 months til about 18 months.

Saw the baby on sono for the first time today! I was a bit shocked (s)he looked like a baby and not like a fish.

So this question is crazy personal and definitely contains some TMI:
How long after having your baby to "do it" again? I am over 3 months post partum and we have tried a few times, but it hurts. Winnie was fine months old when hubby got home from Iraq and by then I was being healed and totally fine. This sounds bad, but I'm doing for some action!!!

You're supposed to wait until the bleeding stops for at least a week, I believe? Or at least six weeks?

This is an awful story but we tried like 3 weeks after I had lillian, against the Drs advice. It was fine during, but the next day my stomach muscles hurt so much I could hardly move. We waited again until I think 6 weeks.

I don't think its uncommon at all to wait until longer. You can always do other stuff while you're healing.

ETA: especially if you're breastfeeding or chance BCs after I've heard you can need a ton of lubricant to make it comfortable.

I would like to seriously apologize for not paying enough attention while I was writing that post. Wow. That's really stupid sounding!!! That should be five, not fine, beyond, not being, and don't, not doing!!! Ugh!

Thanks, for those of you who have answered! I got spayed at eight weeks pp, so maybe that has something to do with it. All I know is I'm on the crabby from lack of sex train, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down! >.

I'm sure this discussion has been had a trillion times but:

Did you/will you find out the baby's sex before hand?

With lillian, I loved not finding out, and had a strong list of reasons for it...I also felt no desire whatsoever TO find out...but with this baby I'm curious for some reason!

We aren't finding out (hopefully) :) I'm excited to not know.

We painted the nursery silver and turquoise and I love it!

We did not find out. My wife initially wanted to, but by the end she was very glad she didn't know. 2 babies I know born in the past year and a half came out something other than what they were supposed to be :)

I don't think I'd ever find out before hand. We did 1 ultrasound, that was it, and I purposely did not watch a single second of it on the screen because I didn't want to catch anything :)

I also hate knowing what my Christmas presents are. the anticipation and surprise adds a lot for me :)

and other than wanting to know, there really wasn't any reason for us. There was nothing to do beforehand, that wasn't very easily done after he was born.

We didn't find out with Winnie. We did with Zephyr for the sheer sake of convenience: to keep Winnie's things, or to trade in for boy things? I was glad to find out we were having another girl. I hate shopping. LOL

I managed to get a decent shot of all three of us the other day. Zephyr has the best facial expressions I've ever seen. She's freaking hysterical!

I would totally have wanted to find out. I'm a planner. I don't do surprises too well (which is hilarious considering I never had a heads up when we got the kids :rofl1:).

We didn't find out with Hannah :) It was a nice little surprise and we found tons of adorable neutral things.

When she was born, doc flipped her leg up and said "looks like indoor plumbing" :rofl1:

I was misidentified as a boy on the ultrasound, so there's is always a chance of surprise. Haha!
Me too! They called me Christopher David in the womb for months and had never settled on a girl name. So when I was born they were like... crap!! They ended up picking "Amber" because that's my birthstone : p

Plus, who actually cares if an infant girl wears something blue or a boy wears something pink? I've never thought that was a big deal. I actually get annoyed that most "baby girl" clothes are pink because I pink and red are my least favorite colors. If I have a girl, she'll be in blues, greens and purples until she's old enough to decide what she likes, lol.

I found out just because I dont like surprises... I still did mostly gender neutral stuff and am not big at all on "pink for girls blue for boys" ickiness. But yeah, I am one who will look at presents, would hate a surprise party, etc. I figure meeting the new baby, seeing what they look like, going through labor and deliver, etc is all enough of a surprise. Finding out the sex beforehand is just a surprise then, for me it doesnt get better waiting.

That is one little thing that irks me though...its a surprise either way, finding out before or on delivery day.

I love love love surprises and for me not knowing was one of the biggest/best surprises in life. Finding out at the time of her birth was so special and exciting, and I do really want to repeat that. I just can not imagine the same "surprise" element happening at a sonogram.

I'm leaning towards not, but whether to keep/donate lots of toddler items is a factor. Most of Lillian's newborn / under 12 month clothes were neutral anyway, so I don't need to buy new clothes anyway, but once she hit toddlerhood, a ton of stuff is pink/Minnie mouse/princess/leopard print sparkles. I have no problem putting a pink t shirt or onesie on my boy or even a neutral dress but unless he asks he probably won't be wearing lace tutus in three shades of pink.

We also don't have much (any) room for storage and will likely be moving around the birth. So I don't want to keep a closet full of Sophia the first pajamas and princess dresses for an extra 6 months just to give them away :/

But...SURPRISES!!! Ugh such a tough choice
