That's why its called "security theater." It's a form of government performance art. It doesn't actually make you significantly safer, but the more you are inconvenienced and harassed, the more you feel like the are "doing something."

They don't hover any more. Admittedly, they don't grab your butt, but they actually touch you and they are supposed to stick their hand in your crotch (and other places too) and press until they make contact.
I was at the airport yesterday. Yesterday, they were still hoverin. The lady checked the top of my pants and ran her finger across where the belt would be on the inside, but I don't consider that my crotch.
When Im flying, there are larger inconviences than the security check.

Where was that Gyp? Were you in the US? In Canada they still seem to be mostly hovering.

Talking to people who have been singled out, from youtube videos and law suits... much less hovering and more groping is being done.

To be fair I can't see how hovering would do any good at all anyway. If a terrorist had something in their clothing concealed against their body how is hovering going to find it? I would thing you would HAVE to grope to see if anything is there by touching.

The groping is being done in the US by TSA only over the last several months. I know a year ago when I flew to get Logan they hadn't changed yet. I want to say they started sometime in October/November but I may be wrong. So I'm guessing you have yet to experience a groping in all its glory.

Shrug. Honestly? I could care less at what happens at secruity. I love to fly too much. Sure its uncomfertable to stand there and do the eagle, and be patted down - but can't imagine they are literally groping you. Homeland security makes me rant like an idiot though. Now those people need to get their friggin prorities in order because UH, yeah they don't, and they haven't for years.

The procedure calls for the breasts of women to be pressed. Not sure what that has to do with people loving flying.

YouTube - TSA Perverts Feeling Up Air Passengers this is what is its supposed to be. But in practise this isn't always the case. The videos that I had watched that showed them roughly handling people and firmly putting their hands in private areas.

I read this thread a couple of days ago (I've been so busy and mostly spend my online time lurking) and I don't see how Dekka was immature... she gave really good examples about how the TSA has screwed many people... the urine bag story was terrible, and I feel so bad for that man to have to endure that. Ugh.

I don't think the original story is considered groping, though... many adults are frisked/searched, and it is quite possible for adults to set children up with guns/drugs/etc. It's stupid, yes, but if you're checking adults then I can't see why you wouldn't check kids. I disagree with most of the TSA checks and it's one thing I hate about flying... but I like traveling too much to stop flying.

not since yesterday?

Are you complaining its still going by bumping it up? Or are you thrilled its still going and trying to jump start it a bit?
In order to show my amusement at the fact it is still on the front page I had to comment. It bumps it, but hey, life's a b*tch ;)

On the front page? Well that doesn't mean it still going, just that no one else has said much lately. Or if you mean its in your 'new posts' that is just cause someone has posted on it since you were last hear.

I'm going to be flying again at some point this year, but I'll be sure to ask for the hottest chick to grope me for my "enhanced pat down."
