Absolutely. ;) After Earthdance you can join me and Ashlea in her dodgy hotel room and, erm . . .look for our morality. Surely someone in the hotel will have seen it, right? ;)
You've got your own morality . . . what you can't seem to locate is the morality someone else is trying to pin you with, like a butterfly specimen in a collection.

A popular thought during the 60's, as long as I'm okay with what I'm doing then it's okay to do it. Everyone can decide their own right and wrong. As long as it doesn't seem to hurt anyone else, anything goes.

Aww, Renee . . . You get me. :)

I do agree with you about virginity and I don't regret what I did at all. I just wish my parents felt the same way. Despite being a little heathen-child, I still want their approval. I feel like the goofy puppy in obedience class that really wants to do the right thing but just can't seem to "get it". lol!

Not in reference to anyone else's posts. Just another philosophy on the morality discussion.

I'm sure I'm going to offend someone........but marriage is a longgggggggg time. I would nevahhhh go into it without trying the merchandise. if you think sex isn't a huge part of marriage..........then somebody hasn't been telling you the truth. sure, some people don't seem to care......but healthy people do. it's the ultimate bonding all thru marriage. so...sex before is kinda like the 'fitting' room. I'd not take anything home that wasn't a perfect fit. yes...yes....I'm going to start some people on a frenzy that have a different belief due to religion. that's fine. I'm just saying that to be a virgin until marriage.....to me..........was made up by some guy (who was dreaming of a virgin)

I''m glad that I waited for one who truly matters to me and I''m also glad I didn''t wait until marriage. Its a special and sacred uniting between two people if they love eachother a lot. If it''s just a guy with a penis and a girl with a vagina...well...thats when i find it to be wrong.

As for the smell thing. I''ll tell you one thing, when the dogs smell that I''m PMSing they make sure they are on their best behaviour around me!!! LOL

Well, I used the try it before you buy it option before getting married. I don't regret it. I would hate to be married to someone who was lousy in the bedroom.

The only good thing about a piece of paper stating your married versus living together... community property if you should ever split. Half of everything versus nothing...comforting.;)

The ten commandments... You have to take into consideration why they were created... it was for a large group of people who wandered around for...if I remember correctly... forty years in the wilderness. They didn't work, couldn't even feed themselves ( God had to send manna to keep them from starving) and were a lawless bunch of heathens wandering around doing nothing but what they pleased without birth control. Some laws had to be instilled to get them off their lazy arses and do something besides making large golden calves and reproducing. Thus making God have to do all the work.

If I also remember right...Moses was so angry with the heathen lazy people, he broke the original set of the ten commandments. How do we know if these are the original laws or created laws by Moses?

And now, people, you are seeing the truth behind what kind of people live with Filas . . . we have the same respect for what strangers tell us we HAVE TO do as our dogs do :p

I have always been an advocate of "Try before you buy" too, and thank heavens, my first, was... How can I put this politely.... Abysmal!! The second, better... And so on and so forth... LOL!

If I hadn't experimented, I think I would have turned to the convent by now!! :D

I must admit, I do look good in black though!

Tessa, that is all very well, quoting the Bible, you didn't answer my question. Do Jewish people go to hell because they do not believe Jesus to be the son of God?
I thought quoting the bible would make it quite clear. I believe the bible, so I quoted the bible. If you are not saved, you will not make it to heaven. So, yes, anyone, including Jewish, that does not accept the gift of salvation goes to hell.

Why do you worry that she doesn't beleive in the Bible, Tessa?
I don't beleive......but i am a very happily married woman with 3 healthy children, a very loving husband and not forgetting Bailey :)
Not beleiving in god hasn't made my life turn out so bad.
What is there to worry about? I don't understand

Just read your reply to Ashley.............

When i die........*I* and *no-one* else really truely knows what is going to happen to me.
So i am not going to spend my lifetime worrying about where i go when i am gone.
Because I care. I care about people. I don't want to see them in Hell.

Thanks for that Renee :D

Maybe it's just me then...........I think that love makes the Bedroom chemistry better.......IYKWIM??
It can, and it is the ultimate, but . . . that doesn't preclude the fact that for many there are a great many other, if slightly lesser, pleasures and emotional intimacies that are shared through sex, and those shouldn't diminish or shadow the bond you may have with your eventual spouse.

Because I care. I care about people. I don't want to see them in Hell.

If "god" sends people to hell for not wholeheartedly beleiving.............then to me......what sort of god is he???
I mean, we have to beleive EVERY word of the Bible.......otherwise we burn in hell?
Isn't that like me holding a gun to someones head and telling them that if they don't agree with me, i will pull the trigger?

That's exactly it, Caren . . . Fear is an extremely powerful motivating force. I think that more people involve themselves in religion due to a fear of Hell rather than anticipation of Heaven.

I find it interesting that the Bible never really defines Hell. I really don't think it's "Hell" a la Inferno, personally, but that is what many people imagine and it scares them into believing. I'm not saying that's why ALL people believe, but it's the case with a lot of people I know . . .

Could it be that the "lake of fire" mentioned in the Bible is simply symbolic, as is much of the text? Many things in the Bible are seen as symbolic, so why are a few certain lines translated into a literal definition of Hell? It seems to me that sometimes people only see what they want to see . . . If the "physical" definition of Hell was purely symbolic, wouldn't that change a LOT about the religion?

I guess that's a little off track, but even after accepting God into my life, I have trouble with believing some of these things.
