Are there any dog breeds you find ugly/dislike the look of?

Yeah, I definitely had the same thoughts when I first saw this thread, but I've been rather impressed that it hasn't exploded lol.

This thread has made me realize that there is no breed that actually embodies my ideal look for a dog.

Me toooooo. I just can't seem to find it. And shelter dogs are a crapshoot for what I'm looking for. So, I'll just keep waiting for my GSD. :p

Like others, I don't like the super heavily wrinkled breeds like Neos. I think that's about it, though.

ETA: Actually, the really intense gaze of some of the herding breeds occasionally mildly disturbs me. It's not that I think it's ugly, but it can get sort of eerie.
Thats true, I've never had a dog that uses eye like Quinn. But when she has to wait for her dinner she gives me the most intense look, its quiet unsettling and intimidating, but very, very cool.

I don't care much for the droopy look, whether its in eyes (and I have HUGE eye issues myself, eyeball in general makes me sick) or droopy lips, which kind of knocks out most mastiffs. I also dislike blue eyes, though that isn't the make or break for me.

Um, I don't like smushed faces in dogs, but love it in cats.

Dislike the look and feel of poodle/doodle coats.

Of course, I never cared for merle coloring, either, and look who I ended up with.

i don't like any breeds so extreme that basic doggy life is difficult or impossible. i don't hold it against the dogs butt i would like to punch some breeders in the face especially the ones long dead that started the whole mess.

Oh! I'm not a fan of Bull Terrier noses. Or collies that look like they have bull terrier noses.

Oh, also, I don't like bulgy eyes, whether it be a chihuahua, a pug, a cocker spaniel, a boston terrier, whatever. I'm always worried that their poor little eyes are gonna pop out :(

I was never one for Borzois, to be honest. I just didn't like them... can't put my finger on it... they just weren't for me... that said, I met one this weekend, and fell in love. They're much different in person.

I'm not fond of Boston Terrier puppies, but like adults. And am just not usually one for "small" breeds..

I'm surprised to see so many people not a fan of lomg faces like on collies or borzoi's.

I'm crazy on Borzoi's, once I get a couple more BC's I might just HAVE to have a zoi.

Neo's All that loose skin scares me lol. Douges as well. Their creepy crooked, underbite just creeps me out.

Show Shih tzu I find pretty, but I hate the awefull puppy cut.

Show GSD pretty much walking on their hocks creep me out.

Dandee Dinmonts. I think kept natural they are cute, but I don't really like how they are cut.

I used to not like chi's then I saw pics of Jesse's chis and I fell in love. I so want one now.

I think My moms' Scottish terrier is the ugliest thing in the world lol

I really don't like dogs that have pushed in faces.

All you Collie haters are forgiven. ;)

I don't like brachycephalic dogs with the east-west eyes. If you're looking at me, I'd like both eyes to be facing forward. :p

Not a fan of non-athletic breeds. I want to see an in shape, muscular dog who appears to be able to run all day without getting tired.

Of course, I don't hate any dog breed, but I figured this thread was really meant to show our 'preferences' ....
