For those who know the situation in my home.

Unbelievably, and with much last minute drama, my daughter Molly is finally at the American School for the Deaf, in Hartford, in their PACES program for children with emotional and behavioral disorders. She has been there three weeks, and is beginning to settle in and make friends.

She got an A on an exam.

It is only bittersweet because neither she nor I understand why this had to take four years, but now both she and my family have a chance to put our lives back together and have a future.

And the dogs no longer need a new home,as less stress in the house has helped a ton with my husband and kids being able to take care of them.

And a big thank you to those who offered help and support when it looked like they were going to have to get rehomed.

Oh, I am SO glad. What you and your family have been through? What a nightmare. I so hope things will go more smoothly now. Congratulations on getting Molly settled where you've wanted her to be for, well, forever, seems like. And how nice that the dogs won't need to be rehomed.

Hugs to you, just because.

HOORAY! That is a good program (as you know!)--so so so sorry it had to take so long, but I am so pulling for Molly to really do well there. And so happy that maybe your family can breathe a little easier and tackle other things now--so pleased for you. :)

I know from experience, trying to advocate for a child's special needs can be exhausting and frustrating. I'm so glad your daughter is getting what she needs and your family is under less stress. And that your dogs get to stay with you. :)
