Do people ever think you're "too into" your dogs, or think it's weird you talk about and do stuff with your dogs all the time? People think that of me very often!

My mom says that all the time to me.

Most of our guests, think it's odd at first. And they always ask when we're going to have kids! We both reply very quickly, "We already have kids, TWO!" LOL

Some people think it's weird, but they always comment how well behaved they are. WHen I bring them into certain stores, on the street when my niece or nephew walks Roxy or Hades. (My niece is partial to ROxy and my nephews partial to Hades though)

Pfft. I could care less!

My friends have learned not to get me started on mine, I wont shut up about my dog, sometimes I have to stop because I annoy myself. Tank is my kid, so my life is wrapped around all the stuff I do with Tank like my friends lives are with their kids.

My dad says that all the time. They live 8 hrs away from us and we don't go visit as often due to the dogs. Especially now that we have our third dog, Tilly. We used to visit them with Boomer and Kassie but I don't think we'll be able to do so with 3 dogs. I'm in a dilemma atm because of an upcoming plan on going to visit them this fall. I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not, I don't think I can bear leaving them behind. And my SIL thinks I’m totally a nut case. :p

My mom thinks Its nuts, and it drives her crazy. She had the audacity(sp?) to ask me if I was keeping her after Alexa is born?!!? HELLO! I was upset that she even thought there was a remote chance in hell I would "get rid of her"...I hate that phrase!

My friends think it's strange that I spend so much time with Lucas training and all. I don't care though, Lucas is my baby ;)

My dogs are my babies, and I love them so, but my husband is still my #1 priority.

Edit: he was standing right next to me & peeked into the computer screen when I typed that :lol-sign:

My mom and I don't really mind if people think we're too obsessed, which they do. We come up with tons of strange nicknames for Max, and we even talk in a weird voice to him. Not really a baby voice, but its different :D

Max is our baby, and we don't care what other people may think.

In a word? Yep! Missy's kind of been a saviour of sorts. And, although I love my big guys, they just aren't as fun to try to dress. lol. Junior's nearly 70lbs. so I can't really make him get dressed. They don't make many clothes to fit him either and I'm betting the hubby would be upset if I started taking his shirts...But back to the topic, yes. My oldest sister for starters...

My dogs are my babies and my #1 hobby is doing things with them. Training, competing etc. I get that all the time, that I'm too into them, but I like spending so much time with them. *shrug*

Heehee.. agreed! :)
People are like that with me a whole lot.. especially cause I have so many rats.. they always say "Why so many?"
well..cause they make me endlessly happy! It's like others can't comprehend the idea that even though it's a lot of work and costs quite a bit I still wouldn't have it any other way..

Oh goodness. My mom thinks were crazy. Most people come up to us when we take the dogs places and ask how we got our dogs to do those things. Then we tell them lots of money and they laugh.
Then I have people wanting me to train their dogs not like I dont have enough to train here.
So we may be crazy but I think were Psychodic:lol-sign:

oh, I'm totally guilty! Between training and grooming Missy and Maddie my friends think I'm constantly blowing them off for the dogs... :lol-sign:

But they tolerate it very well, they ask how the dogs are doing when I'm down and ask me "doggy questions" so that I don't feel useless.

I've been told, however, that my friend goes out of her way to tell new acquaintances (behind my back) *not* to bring up pet store dogs / puppy mills. Fair warning :lol-sign: :D

My mom used to tell me that to, she thought I was crazy for buying only the best for my dogs and that I would put off a trip or vacation if I couldn't find a sitter for them.
I have even gone so far as to not date a guy because either he doesn't like me dogs or my dogs don't like him...

lol. i know i'm "too into" dogs. lol i know many more breeds than all my friends. i see a dog, can pick its cross and such. like i have a friend and i can tell her dog in sharpei/ACD. she didnt know that,
we walked into a shop and a puppy was there. i recognised it as a purebred sharpei strauight away and my friends just said, "oh, whats that?"

i like that i love them so much though
