Ares has a vet appointment for Monday. But I'm not holding my breath for it to be any use.
His aggression has slowly worsened in the few years since he had to be retired, and has suddenly quickly escalated in the last few months. We've has a few scraps between him and Nyx, but today was the worst I've ever seen him and she's becoming more committed to defending herself.
Unless the vet can find and treat a medical issue, it's time to rehome Nyx.
A corgi breeder I'm friends with once called Ares an "old school corgi - the type that will take it to the mat or die trying". So I don't have high hopes on the vet, but I need to try.
I cannot crate/rotate for five years. I cannot have to wash a crate every morning for five years.
Just thinking about losing Nyx hurts like hell. I so don't want to do this, but I'm not seeing any better options.
