Both will be far better than Bush but I will most likely be voting for Obama. It is a hard choice for me but because of the health care issue I will be going with Obama.

If McCain had a backbone on Illegal immigration I might have went his way. Since is position on Illegal immigration is basically the same as Obama in reality it made the decision easier.

Whoever it is I hope they attempt to fight the death grip that special interest groups have on our government. Right now it doesn't matter Democrat or Republican...as both are for sale.

I kinda like Bush!!
Anyway, its kinda scary getting a new leader..
Where are they gonna take us?
I look forward to the histories that will be written on this era. I think you will find that Bush will go down in history as the most Special Interest controlled presidents and one of the top five constitution tramplers (especially with regards to executive power) not to mention the Iraq debacle.

Whoever takes over next....I hope they bring the country back together. I really would like to see the USA more united. I also hope whoever take the oval office remembers that the fortunes of the USA mirror that of the middle class. The last eight years has been brutal for the working middle class.

McCain.... definitely.
I'll be very very happy if he takes Huckabee as his VP.

To the highest bidder . . .

Nice thought. What are the chances that anyone who manages to get elected in the modern era is going to have even enough of a passing acquaintance with the working middle class . . . or the fastest growing social class, the working POOR, to even realize we exist. These are people who classify people making $250,000+ annually as "middle class."

One of the things that really bothers me about McCain is a conversation I had with a decorated veteran - who I got to know and respect a great deal as a quiet, thoughtful man with an aversion to untruths and gossip who had the misfortune to spend time in the Vietnamese POW camp with McCain. He got very tight lipped and flushed angrily whenever McCain's name was mentioned, and all he would say about him was "the man is no hero . . . . "

I'm still waiting to see if the Republicans decide to pull Bush the Third (Jeb) out of their collective assholes, or if he wants to sit this one out and let his brother's fiascos fade from people's minds.

Whoever wins this election loses in the long run. This administration has been such a massive balls-up that it's going to take more than four years to even begin to dig out from under it, so there's a great shot for a new candidate in the election after this one.

That was one of the sellling points on McCain when he ran in the last primary against the Shrub. Expect to see it dragged out again . . . probably something to the tune of how a bona fide war hero is a better choice in a time of war or some other bushwa like that.

For a country whose foundation was based on equality and honest government...that teaches it's young children how lucky they are to be free and they can grow up to be president and change whatever they want...it is awfully corrupt. I don't know if America will ever be the great country it used to be, and that makes me terribly sad.
