If I were American I would vote Obama. I like his stance on the war and I am also a little biased. I like the fact that America could very soon have a black, African president. Wheee!

Whatever it was back in WW2 and what it is now notwithstanding, it was what it was during the Viet Nam conflict, and there were a lot of favors called in and promised so that rich kids and politicians' kids could evade being drafted and having to go to Viet Nam.

The guys who went to Canada or Mexico to avoid the draft were at least HONEST about what they were doing.

And no, that's not me saying so about the future of the Shrub dynasty. That's straight from the Latino community.
Can you give me concrete, accurate proof of that? And by concrete accurate proof I dont mean Online Anti Bush sites or the Media - I was at Virginia Tech during the shootings...and I know first hand exactly how twisted the media can make something look.

And again...if you say so...

I say Neither. I will vote for neither.
That's probably what I'll end up doing.... I'll probably not vote at all...

Is it just these two that are in the race or are there still a few guys that absolutely do not stand even the slightest bit of a chance that are still running as well?

Do forget he is half white and raised by a white woman.....we in America always for about the biracial aspect of people. Biracial people often bring a "hybrid vigor" to their view on the world. Obama I think brings a lot to table in that he is not only black and white but because of his early life has a very international experience.

At this point I'm holding out to see who their running mates are . I've always voted Republican . If Obama chooses Hill/Bill as running mates , I see an assassination in the making . I really like the guy , but wonder about his qualifications . It will be interesting and I'm opened minded .
McCain.. I like some of the things Obama says but I do not think he has enough experience to handle congress. And most of us in Northern Virginia area are sick of the Clintons. One sexual escapade after another. ..

How about you go talk to people who lived through it - first hand? When you get the same info from totally unrelated sources over and over and over again it's a good base to start from.

Then start digging. The info is out there. I've dug it up over the years as well as had a lot of one on one and even group time with the guys from that era who LIVED it.

And you haven't been around long enough to know this, probably, but a long part of my career has been built around fact gathering and sifting through bullsh1t. Let's see . . . you're 22 you said? Been doing it most of your life . . .

Oh, and the regular media? Yah, they're full of it. You think the Virginia shootings was an example? You should see what happens in a sensational trial. Dirty tricks doesn't even BEGIN to cover it.

The following is what our Presidents resignation speech might sound like according to the person in Maine who wrote it. Thought some of you might enjoy a different perspective.

Normally, I start these things out by saying 'My Fellow Americans.' Not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don't know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and that you're really not fellow Americans any longer.

I'll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in a lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution, or something, let me assure you: There's been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office.

The reason I'm quitting is simple. I'm fed up with you people. I'm fed up because you have no understanding of what's really going on in the world. Or of what's going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too damned lazy to do your homework and figure it out.

Let's start local. You've been sold a bill of goods by politicians and the news media. Polls show that the majority of you think the economy is in the tank. And that's despite record numbers of homeowners, including record numbers of MINORITY homeowners. And while we're mentioning minorities, I'll point out that minority business ownership is at an all-time high. Our unemployment rate is as low as it ever was during the Clinton administration. I've mentioned all those things before, but it doesn't seem to have sunk in.
Despite the shock to our economy of 9/11, the stock market has rebounded to record levels and more Americans than ever are participating in these markets. Meanwhile, all you can do is whine about gas prices, and most of you are too **** stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there's increased demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront property than your economic security.

We face real threats in the world. Don't give me this 'blood for oil' thing. If I were trading blood for oil I would've already seizedIraq's oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. And don't give me this 'Bush Lied; People Died' crap either. If I were the liar you morons take me for, I could've easily had chemical weapons planted in Iraq so they could be 'discovered.' Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.

Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Some guy named 'Clinton' established that policy. Bet you didn't know that, did you?
You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to out-spend and out-tech them.

That's not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don't care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That'd be fine, as long as they weren't also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and the b______s are all over the globe..

You should be grateful that they haven't gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you're not. That's because you've got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I'm disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of 'Survivor.'
Instead, you've grown impatient. You're incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.

Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat's political campaign, well, dang it, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.

In this day and age, it's easy enough to find the truth. It's all over the Internet. It just isn't on the pages of the New York Times or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you'd be any smarter. Most of you would rather watch American Idol.

I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you're too stupid to leave a city that's below sea level and has a hurricane approaching.

I could say more about your insane belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I've come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.

So I quit. I'm going back to Crawford. I've got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I'm done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pi\llars of America fall.
Oh, and by the way, Cheney's quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.

So that's it. God bless what's left of America. Some of you know what I mean.. The rest of you, kiss off.

I agree with Zoom--no way in heck I would vote for someone wanting to stay in Iraq for "as long as it takes even if that is 100 years"--or someone wanting to jump into Iran. I will vote Obama and be very proud if he gets elected.

I can't see how anyone who voted for Bush don't regret it. I would be embarrassed to say I voted for Bush lol. Just my opinion. The guy is a joke.

This is what gets on my nerves. Why should his "sexual escapades matter? Because the american people are petty. Clinton was a much better president than Bush but people choose to phocus on the fact that he has had affairs. Its so stupid how much it is back in the media. People need to grow up and move on honestly. A presidents sexual choices should not effect wether that person would be considered a good president.

UGH sorry but that gets on my last nerve.

:( Clinton

If Obama chooses Clinton for his running mate, I'll vote Obama. If not, I not sure I will vote at all. I've never voted for a Republican beyond a local office (and only once that I recall) so there's no chance my vote goes to McCain. Obama or none at all (for the first time ever, I might not vote).
Im in the same boat lol.

Sorry, but sexual escipades are relevant when it paints a picture of ones morals. Not only that, but when our President goes under oath, looks directly into the camera, and lies to his country...yeah, it's relevant.

Personally, I don't care for either Clinton. What they do in the sack, under their desk, or in the back seat is the least of my concerns. However, honesty, morals and integrity ARE my concern and both seem to be lacking in all categories.

Just my opinion, of course...

Clintons lack of intervention probably caused 911. He never did anything about terriorism. And as far as sexual problems with Bill, the fact is- Hillary stayed married to Bill to remain first lady- both are opportunists..
