Tessa we can all see you are set in your ways. So when you DO find a doctor before you even have a check up with them you need to make an appt to sit down and talk to them about your choices and what you expect to experience (without being demanding or rude or without insinuating that doctors are all idiots). Just sit down and talk to him or her and say "Ok this is how I'm raising my child. We are not doing any vacc's and I need to know that you are OK with that and if you AREN'T I need to know that you will at least respect my decision. Is that something we can work together on?" don't be abrassive or throw your "knowledge" around. Just be honest about what your choice is and just TALK with the doctor. don't go in making demands and puffing your chest. Just sit down and talk.

I think this might be your best course of action finding a doctor rather than springing it on them during a check up and catching them off guard. Give them some warning that you are practicing some unconventional methods

These days refusing to vaccinate is not all that radical. It is a regular fashion in a certain group of parents.

I like this course of action as well. Absorb what he has to say, evaluate it, and make your own decisions. I like it.

Its too bad she'll never pull her head out of her arse and listen!

WHom are you referring to? I planned a pg when I was married and working. It was just the wrong man. No assistance there. It was also almost 28 years ago. My point was that I can admit even so my head was up my arse for I wasn't seeing my partner (husband) for what he was.

Might as well talk about the elephant in the room because it is there. THE fact that Mason wiill have medicaid doctors..maybe you will be lucky and have something like CHildren's Mercy. Maybe you will have the luck of the Northland Clinic which I hold totally respsonsible for how ill I am with their low paid doctors that don't want to be there and have sorry educations.

Actually I think she said that it happened early and they were planning on it anyway.

ETA: InLimbo has an extremely good point. You might want to watch where you go with that.

Yes I am because it happened early. We were protecting ourselves for the few months it took for us to get me insurance but my bc was expired. I looked into normal insurance but they dont offer it if you are already Pg.

But you know what. Bev was paid out of my pocket ;)

I also don't think Breeze is the one who complains that she should be able to get organic products when SOMEONE else is paying for them.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks.
