Okay, being a little bit dramatic, but she pretty much did.

So let me first say that I have this habit of speaking to my dogs in full sentences and plain english A LOT. It's just a habit. I explain a lot of things to them throughout the day. I know... quite strange. anyways...I honestly think Mia picks up more on that than I really would expect. (as seen here: http://www.chazhound.com/forums/t136320/)

Anyways...

I was trying to go to sleep just a minute ago. I was kind of dozing in and out when I opened my eye just a bit to see something very large and spider like shuffling across my pillow and vanishing. I yelped and jumped up. I'm not really SCARED of spiders, but I don't like them crawling on me or in my bed.

And of course Mia and Summer are looking at me like "WTF is your problem?" since I'd practically thrown them off the bed.

So like the sane person I am, I felt like I had to explain to them what was going on.... So I told Mia "There was a butterfly on my pillow." and I pointed to my pillow. Now... 'butterfly' has always been the word I've used for any kind of bug. Very first day I took Mia home she caught a butterfly. She loves catching bugs. when she caught a bug or was going after the bug she seemed to connect the word 'butterfly' to there being a bug SOMEWHERE. Anyways, I tell her there was a butterfly on my pillow and I began frantically looking for the spider that I knew was somewhere in my bed. Mia perked up, and also began frantically looking for the 'butterfly'. I can't find it but Mia does pretty quick. Let me just say she disposed of it... kind of disturbing that part. But at least I now know the spider isn't still in my bed, right?

And now I probably sound completely and 100% insane. :lol-sign:

Geez... where was Mia when I needed saving? lol. Seriously... I had a giant wolf spider crawl across my leg once when I was in bed. And I'm extremely arachnophobic so you can only imagine my reaction. All I gotta say is YAYYYY MIA!!!!!

spiders are horrible :/

I check my bed every night before I even get in it! lol

I'm pretty sure Sophie wouldn't save me if I was being attacked by any sort of bug anyway and she is the only animal that is allowed to sleep with me.. :p

oh my gosh I check my bed too. lol. Seriously... after the incident with the wolf spider, I didn't sleep with covers on me for about 3 years. If I felt anything on my skin at all I thought it was a spider and I'd freak out. *shivers*

If it makes you feel any better, I have more conversations with Rosey and the ferrets than I do people :p I actually just gave a stern talk to Renegade about beating up Rascal LoL

Go Mia!

Okay this seals the deal, Mia can come live with me any time. Like, now would be good. Right now.

(there was a spider on my pillow a few nights ago as I went to bed, then it hid...took me ages to find it and dispose of it...Mia would have been extremely helpful...)

But yeah that's awesome lol

Mia just gets better and better! :D

I talk to Sam on our walks. Full out conversations actually. I didn't notice that I did it until I caught someone staring at me funny, lol.

Yay, Mia!

Riley is pretty good with bug disposal but they have to practically crawl over his nose before he'll notice. Don't think he'd be much help in the location process. The cats aren't much help with killing spiders either, although our three-legged cat likes to pull the legs off of Daddylonglegs (which, I thought I read, aren't really spiders?)

Both Sis and I have conversations with our animals, and we're pretty sure we're not crazy... :p

LOL Auggie does this for me too. I don't really like him to eat spiders but... well... better than having it crawling around...
