we were told at the shelter his mum was a collie cross, but there's definitely some terrier in there too, maybe Tibetan!

AWWWW! what a cutie! flip... I wouldn't know whats in her! However i see no hound! Maybe the person who thought hound might have thought so because of her markings, but I reckon she got those from some kind of terrier. I'd love to see Matisse's parents, or even his other siblings, I've seen one, and it's fur type is completely different to matisse's!
I did see Spanky's mom. She was in the pound, too, and she was being adopted by a nice man when we were there, but they let me meet her. She looked to be a Benji-type mix, smaller than Spanky has turned out to be.
The shelter is in a small town close to our bigger city. Being small like they are, they ask for a few updates and pictures early on and will post a few on their site. When I sent in info about Spanky, they told me they thought they had his dad there.
I don't know how they would have any idea about who his dad is unless in a small town there 'known' strays, kind of like Tramp in Lady and the Tramp, lol. Honestly, I have no idea why they would think they knew who Spanky's father was, but if they did, and he was some kind of a hound-type mix would be the only reason I thought they might think he was part hound.
I thought perhaps his tail was beagle-esque. And he does occasionally
ah-roo.
I kind of wish I had posted these pictures in another thread so folks wanting to come check Matisse out wouldn't have to wade through Spanky's pics!! Oh, well.
