Actually I'd like to know beings one of the provisions in Patriot II, if allowed to pass will allow deportation of US born citizens.

If you had been found to have "supported terrorism" by contributing to a Muslim charity that turned out to be a front for financing terrorists, for example, a provision in the new law would have allowed the government to strip you of your citizenship, and have you deported. And this could have been accomplished, like with Patriot I, with out your having access to an attorney, or having the chance to defend yourself in a public trial.

Sooo if the Constitution which is a Law, protects the Citizens of the United States of America wouldn't they have to strip you of your citizenship first?

I wonder how they plan on doing that if this is passed? Or is it included in Patriot I and I missed it. Anyone know?

Oh, now that's just freaking brilliant. Let's further absolve medical practitioners from any responsibility for their own practices and create yet another cash cow for insurance companies and yet ANOTHER burden for the consumer.

How about the medical INDUSTRY just cleans up its own act and stops covering for the unethical and incompetent amongst them? That goes for the hospitals and their staff as well as the MDs. Or is that too much personal responsibility for an industry to have to shoulder? :rolleyes:

To be honest, I'd vote for the first candidate who promises to try and get rid of the Patriot Act.

That piece of legislation makes me shiver.

Hummm, that's exactly the opposite of the United States Constitution.
I think you mis-read her post the same as I did first time I read it. She doesn't mean that she doesn't want the people to not govern the US, she means she wants the government to govern the US, NOT govern the people and decide what liberties they should or should not have.

I think hair specific legislation would really stink! I mean, where would they stop? Would it be knuckles and toes next? What about moustaches and beards? Maybe even heads!:yikes: Pretty soon we'll be a nation of cueballs!

Apparently you aren't very informed. Physicians aren't the only ones that suffer from frivolous malpractice suits. When hospitals face higher costs, the quality of care decreases.

Then you wonder why 1) healthcare is so expensive and 2) the quality of care isn't as good as it should be.

If I could vote, which I can't 1) Because I'm to young (just by a few months...) and 2) I don't even live in the states, I would vote for Ron Paul or Obama. I like their concepts. I would be interested in who our chancelor would vote though since she just adored your president... :rolleyes: The 2008 Election has become a thing in the news here though so it's interesting to follow. I think our next election will be March 2010 -(either that or Nov. 2009) then again I'm not sure, I just I know that I'll be able to vote.

The Slovok page in Moscow had a big write up on Ron Paul and the new Rambo movie coming out next week. I felt soo proud to be American over there. Christopher and Granduer came home with a Bronze Metal for K9 team in Sokol M.B.

that first video doesn't even make sense. i didn't watch the second yet. but all the first video looks like is someone unintelligent attempting to make the Clintons look bad.

why would anyone believe the backwards story of a conniving felon business man? while Hillary Clinton was obviously involved in the Peter Paul/Stan Lee/Merrill Lynch scandal, her involvement was MINOR. Peter Paul's story of this whole thing is so far from what the Federal Elections Commission and the courts and everyone else is saying actually happened. Any case Peter Paul brings to court is thrown out because he's so ridiculous.
