I was in the Ozarks, on a road trip with 2 friends, when I encountered Jack. He was in rough shape.

I decided to take him with me. I'd always wanted a dog but was waiting for the right opportunity. I brought him to the vet in St. Louis the morning after finding him and besides being covered in ticks he was healthy; about 6 months old.

Jack is now 1 year and the coolest and by far the brightest dog I've ever met. Calm, intelligent, friendly with dogs and people, super affectionate, playful, devoted, fast, agile, adorable; an unusually awesome dog. I'm totally spoiled and DEFINITELY the lucky one in our relationship. No one can believe I found him on the side of the road.

Most people think he's a Bernese cross.

Rescue Dog Writes Book, Helps Other Rescues

Bo is our adorable blogging/writing pup. He came from a shelter in Albany, NY and recently had the first memoir written by a dog ever published, BAD TO THE BONE: Memoir Of A Rebel Doggie Blogger. Not bad for a writer in a fur suit, especially one with such humble beginnings. His book is dedicated to rescue and shelter workers who make this world a better place, one animal at a time. He donates 10% of the proceeds to help other homeless dogs.

I love hearing these inspiring stories of animals being rescued from people who have huge hearts and care enough to make a difference. All of your pets are soo adorable!
I work for a company that does it's part to promote pet adoptions. Since a lot of you have rescue dogs, you might be interested in purchasing a doggie bandana from us! They're unique and give BACK to those shelters. (It even promotes pet adoptions with a “Adopted Dogz Rock†or “Rescued Dogz Rock.†tagline) You can customize them with patches, but you can look at them for yourselves at either a local veterinarian, pet store, or the page woofslife(dot)com.
Please let me know if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them :)

Gosh they're beautiful! Gotta love bull breeds. Are they Ambulls?
The shelter thinks so. Since Pits are illegal in Miami dade, (the shelter I got them from) they are technically on paper as "boxer mix" lol

I only have 1 dog, and i got him from a breeder. I did save both our cats though. The first was from a feral litter i found at the barn i worked at that was going to die. The next was brought into my clinic young with an eye issue. The issue was bad, and they wanted him euthanized. We couldnt do that, so i took him. Best cat ever.

We had a 95 lb saint in to be groomer last week, everyone who came in was like "whoa that's a huge dog" (most customers have very small dogs) and we're looking around like "who...oh, HER?!? she's TINY!".

Would love to read it, but I think you need to "publish" it first. I'm a moderator and I am unable to read it, so I imagine the others won't be able to :)
