I'm driving to Connecticut to get Panda on Sunday. It's a 6.5 hour drive. I was originally going to go and stay overnight in a hotel but I'm going to leave at 4am and come back the same day. I'll get there around 11 and meet the dogs and all that, then I think FW and I are going out for lunch, and then I'll drive back. I'm so excited!

Thanks!
I know Renee...or if I could, I'd be stopping every hour. I might be able to make the whole trip with no stops!

I'm also excited to go to puppy class. I know it's lame to some people but I find it fun. I'm trying to get my friend who bought the Mastiff puppy to join, too, which would be nice

I think it is very exciting, both that you are getting Panda, and that you can make the trip, and thus are getting better. i hope it is a great experience for you, and that Panda does not mind the drive.

It's not lame at all. It's a great start to a well rounded pup. Because I'm oldish..... I worried about getting a pup, who might outlive me. I knew I had to do what ever it took to ensure Molly became a dog who wouldn't be homeless or unwanted without me.

Molly is far more than I ever imagined, and I have to contribute her outcome to the classes, socialization with dogs who have great owners, and an owner who graduated from "clueless" trying to provide her a wonderful life.

You're going to have so much fun. Puppies are toooo cute.

Have a safe trip and remember to factor in potty breaks on the trip back home! :D At least you aren't making the drive in winter - we went to pick up Sadie in January and it was snowy and the roads were scary, plus standing in snow with a puppy at McDonalds trying to get it to pee while your feet are going numb and it is playing is NOT so much fun. Hahaha.
