lol chihuahuas are higher energy than pit bulls too. They also say pits are good at guarding and herding which is odd considering they'd likely unlock the door for the intruder in hopes of belly rubs and eat the sheep.
Crock of shite if you ask me. I cannot believe what they said about Paps. I must own a totally wierd Pap if what they say is true and trust me, he is VERY true to his breed.
I just checked out that site and it said that Bouves only have a energy level 3 Scotty a 2 and a westie a 4...ummm NO! I am pretty sure they are wrong. Since my Bouve is constantly moving and working off energy and they are a herding dog for Petes Sake! My 10 year old Bouve still runs around like crazy, although he is a sore old man afterwards lol and hobbles around.

Haha, border collies aren't good with strangers! And they had a "See also: Golden Retriever". What?
Amanda, given your signature, the tags on this thread, and the fact that the dog breed info links back to their page... I'm assuming you're getting some form of compensation from your insurance company for posting this stuff.
I think they just chose breeds that look sorta like another. Oh chihuahua and papillons are roughly the same size and have big ears. Must be related. Oh border collie and golden retriever are roughly the same size and they can both be fluffy. Must be related.

First off, the picture of that corgi is a Pembroke, not a Cardigan.
Secondly, Cardigans are not "laid back," they are very intense, and I'm not sure why the Cattle Dog was mentioned as a similar breed, because while there some similarities, there aren't enough to warrant a "see also" note.
First off, Samoyeds should love everyone and the ones I've met haven't ever met anyone they didn't just fawn all over and love. And the grooming requirements are a 2??? Do they know what "Blowing coat" is, because if they did, they would move that little marker from a 2 to a 5 LOL

Hey...I actually am not getting compensation from them, however I do have a relative that works for them, I've always had dogs, and so that is why it is in my signature. I have been on here for months and barely post about them...so I hope I didn't upset anyone. I've never even used tags before on here and realized that they were there when posting it up..
I just wanted to share it because I thought it was a good dog breed guide...and interesting to read.

An interesting read? For a little while. A good dog breed guide? Absolutely not. A lot of incorrect information, but maybe your relative that works for them can say something about that?
And as for pictures...The picture of the Belgian Sheepdog is a Malinois.
Also, grooming for an Afghan is a 2??

This! It's good to know, because often we get people who continually advertise for a business that isn't even theirs, which can be sort of annoying. Understandable!
The Saint Bernard ones needs to be tweeked. Friendliness towards strangers only a 1??? A Saint is a not an aloof breed at all, they are very people oriented, family and strangers alike! And they are not a 2 out of 5 on the grooming scale. The rough coats require more care than the smooths, but both types are PHENOMENAL shedders!!!!
