Do you currently own your heart breed, or are you still looking?

JRTs are mine, and I own a few right now.. LOL

I want to get a puppy to do agility with but I am having a power struggle with my hubby over breed.... Every dog we have had ever since I became involved in Terriers nearly 10 years ago has been MY choice.... so I understand his point..... But I REALLY want a JRT for my agility pup:(

Yes, I have. I don't think there's a more perfect breed than papillons out there. Their temperament is just fabulous, I've never seen more loving happy little dogs.

That said, I'm still going to own a few more breeds in my life. A lot of breeds (particularly the herders) really really appeal to me as well. Perhaps I'll find a second heart breed, I don't know. I'm obsessed with border collies.

I have never really owned anything but dachshunds, and mixed breeds. We had a toy poodle from the time I was in the womb, to when I was 9. But I honestly don't remember much about his personality.

There are other breeds I want to own though! But for now, Dachshunds are my #1.

Yes!! Minpins are the first dogs to ever melt my heart COMPLETELY. I will never be without at least one, preferably two, again :)

I would love to own more doxies, I never had a breed I went looking for, and never would of thought I would end up with a doxie, ever, hated them [thnks to my neighbor's unruly ones]....and ended up being in love with them.

There are many breeds that I would have loved to have owned , but have stuck to Goldens because I know them best . Oddly enough they are all in Golden's background !

APBTs are most definetly my heart breed, and I will own one by the end of this year, but currently I don't. I'm quite excited to own one of my own, though.

I think I'm still looking :)

Corgis are awesome and I love the breed to death, but they don't really fit my lifestyle now and I can't say about the future. Any breed that takes their place has big shoes to fill though, especially in the humor department!

I do think kelpies are my heart breed, there is just something about them.
But, my next dog probably won't be one, after Buster I just need something super eager to please, easy to socialise etc. I'm aware fo the problems that can come with a kelpie and I don't want to have to deal with them again yet.

No, I don't own one.... I don't know if I ever will, but I admire and drool from afar.

(that pic was HUGE so I changed it for this one)

I have a love thang going on for these dogs.
