I dont know I know I had one and i get hurt more now then i ever did. those are all well and good but for me they are in practical. One I need something to keep her happy at a campsite when we go camping this summer and somethign that will fit in a car trunk with camping gear. Along with something I can pick up and move while holding her.

All mine had one, BUT we NEVER used it upstairs..........it was only for downstairs.

I can see where they are unsafe for babies upstairs if parents turn their back for a moment or don't have the stairs safely guarded.

I don't know what I would have done without my walkers and swings! LOL

We just ordered one for baby Trey.

If they can't have walkers cuz they might reach something they shouldn't, then I guess people shouldn't be allowed to have kids. The walkers usually have a big trey around it. What do those people do when their kids actually start walking and can reach things easier

And parents should know better than to use them upstairs. Its like putting your child in a bumbo chair on a table and walking away.

As many things as they want to recall, tell you not to do, the vaccines cause your kids to become autistic, etc...What are people supposed to do? Not have kids? Or be comepletely stressed their entire life and never let their kids do anything?

I know if I didnt have a swing I would go crazy example being this weekend. UGH never again aas long as she is in the swing am I going without.

Well, i can see where some idiot parent let their kid fly down the stairs in one and then is going to blame the "dangers of walkers" on the things in general and not their own stupidity.

i don't think they'll actually ban them.

I don't think they should be banned but it's not just that they can reach things or that irresponsible parents don't watch them... they can tip very easily and cause injury. Hannah has one but it's very boring so she doesn't really use it. Want to get her an exersaucer though.

exactly :D the seat spins in most of them so they can still use their legs and push around... there is even one that has a seat that is not in the center it actually moves around the outside of the "exersaucer". Kinda neat.

Plus the walker we have... Hannah can't push herself around yet but she can turn herself around in the exersaucer (our friends have one lol) and she likes that she can be somewhat mobile.

My grandparents had 5 babies in their house over the years and they have stairs inside and outside and never a issue and they do not have a real child friendly house. So the stairs were the last thing to really worry about, wood edges and stuff were more important and Im the only one that go thurt my one and i wasnt in it, my brother decided to run my foot over iwth it.

They're banned in Canada, so I havn't seen one in AGES! I'm sure I had one when I was a kid, and I'm still here. I don't get why parents can't just be responsible.

However, Canadian parents don't seem to be hurting too badly without them...
