Ok, I see where this is going. This isn't my kinda forum anymore. My child was subject to bash with RR and her cronies last year, I lost a cat and dog because of this BS with people like you, I'll be ****'d if my boy subject to that again. Moderator please delete my account and all photo's before my boy is wacking off a horse in the barn again.

You bastards are sick.
if that is what this has got to come to then I say good bye. What the heck is this about and why do things need to get this brutal and ugly ? I have to say that I am not at all happy with the way some of these thread discussions go.
It seems to me we are not debating any more but going to it like a bunch of uneducated fools. This type of thing is just wrong. MC I do not understand why you would say this or think that we are saying or thinking this. Jeeze.

I've found it difficult to find a +P trainer around here- one who is ALL +P the way some of you trainers are. Both trainers I go to use positive reinforcement, but also use corrections. One trainer we've gone to was a +P trainer, but she apparently had no idea on how to explain it. It was like you got an overview, did a bunch of click treat exercises, and no follow up on how to make it work in real life. You spent a lot of the class putting hair bands around the dog's back legs to make them aware of themselves, or putting tight fitting shirts on them to make them feel secure.

Certain dogs like being smacked around?
luce loves being smacked around lol. it's on our list of top 10 non-food rewards as "biteyhand". i smack her, she bites at my hands. it's great fun for both of us.

but somehow i suspect that's not what was being referred to....;)

I just got around to browsing this thread and ran across this.

I'm sorry.....did she just say that her son was wacking off a horse? As in masturbating a horse? Because of something on Chaz? Is this girl for real?

Excuse me while I go into a corner and let my head explode.

Sometimes I don't when Dan is being serious and when he's joking.
I'm serious! It's some kind of Tellington Touch method of training. You put these scrunchy things on their feet to make them aware of them, sometimes they will use elastic bandages or tight shirts around their chests because it's supposed to make the dog feel secure. They lay pvc pipes on the floor in cross patterns and have the dogs walk over them to make them learn how to keep their feet under it. They do different kinds of petting with the dog- you can't "thump" on them because they gets them hyped up, it's all kneading type of stuff. A little artsy for me honestly. Needless to say, Gunnar wasn't real into it. He felt less secure with a shirt on, lol!

This trainer was a very very nice person, and we took Gunnar to a couple of her classes (she does CGC and TDI evals, and is very involved with Delta for therapy), and we took Daisy to her 1st class because I knew it would be a mild, easy environment for her. But sometimes I felt like her classes were an experiment for her to play with whatever new techniques she had learned. Like clickers- maybe 1-2 weeks of concentrating on it, then it was never brought up again. No real agenda. I like seeing what is going to be accomplished, with clear goals and expections when I go to a class. Along the lines of "At the end of 6 weeks, your dog will walk on a loose leash, understand sit, down, stay and come". She wasn't real good with problem dogs either, a couple sessions there were some fear biters and stuff, and she got bit a couple times, and her way of treating dog aggression was to separate them from the group with tables so the dog couldn't see the others. Yet she's got a list of credentials a mile long and has been doing it for 30+ years, so what can I say.

Very strange sounding class Dan. Don't think they would be for me. JRTs are random enough on their own..without help lol

Hey if that works, I've got to find a different trainer...obviously female, preferably blonde, 5'6" - 5'9" between the ages of 24 and 26...you get the drift...

Please PM applicable measurements and a picture... preference will be given to those in the previously discussed uniform, extra points if you bring me beer.

 :lol-sign: :D

Just kidding! (or am I)
