I never at any time said a dog would never. I said i would do my best to train a dog to be gentle. I don't go in for the sport that you do, i would not take pleasure in it. YOu do good for you. I only stated what has worked for me in the past and what i pray will give me the guidance to work in the future. I do believe that there are steps that a person can take in training that will help a dog gain control over their passions so they will not dodge in the street after prey. THat is for their safety and morning noon and night, we will train in hopes of installing that wisdom in their wee little noggins. It is my goal to do so. SO far she is safer then she was when she came. SOmeone dropped the ball on her along time ago. I don't want to be another in a line of people that gave up. I do not believe she should be here if she was capable of harming the dogs around us. SO i am working with her. YOu find that laughable ok. IF she can become a good canine citizen that makes her benefit not only to me but to those around me. Now i am going to take my ever repressed, totally neglected Mary to the vet. Funny i wonder how in the world she learned anything. I have a photo of her and Bronki in the yard with a cat that i drew. That cat stopped as some cats do and would not tree. THe dogs stopped and looked at the cat. IT became a mexican standoff. THe cat sat out there all day. I was able to go in and take the camera and photograph them to draw from before i called them in. WHen i called them in they came. That cat sat out there all day just to prove it could. I was never so proud of both of my dogs. That is just the way we are and i truly hope Pepper learns this from me, and from Mary and VIctor too. I can't imagine caring for a dog that was otherwise. Guess that makes me a monster.
Umm ok LAST try on my Part then I give up!
Why would I consider it laughable?
Why would Mary be neglected now that she has you? (I have fostered dogs-have one right now if fact-that have bitten humans, worked with them and they were adopted out. And are now living happily. Rehabbing dogs is noble and happens all the time. But then you move on. Dogs live in the moment)
Are you even reading our posts?
Would you like me to restate my questions for you?
PLS TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING: none of my posts has been personal, I have found your tone at times confusing and upsetting. This is why I asked for clarification.
I am highly confused as some of your posts don't seem to be reflecting the conversation the rest of us are having, there seems to be a disconnect.
