If I found the right dog in need of a home... I've been thinking Huskies or various pointer types, maybe even a BC. I need to stay away from the typical banned breeds since I'll be renting for an eternity still.

If I was picking one out ahead of time, I would have a hard time picking... Since in the next 2 years I could be pretty much anywhere (climate wise, Alaska to Hawaii) I think I want to stay away from anything without a coat (greyhound +Alaska = bad), or a short nosed breed (running in the heat).

Still if I could pick a puppy tomorrow... Chesapeake, or Sammy...

My next dog will be another Cavalier but I'm not quite sure when. Probably when Dante is about 2 years old, so that would be in another year and a half.

Aussie, Rottie or Fila. I have breeders picked out for all three, though I would take another rescue Aussie in a heartbeat. I know that rescue Rotts can be fantastic dogs, but since I live in a pretty dog stupid area, I want to be able to show that s/he came from stable lines and I will be putting a CGC on him/her at the very least, if not full TDI.

all you people with Fila's. I'd LOVE to have one one day, them and neo's are the only "mastiff" type breeds would like to own. But not a chance I;d ever get a fila here. Pity, they are such a great breed.

I won't be getting another dog for a little while yet and am still rather up in the air about what I want. If I go LGD route I'd be looking at Sarplanici, COs or CAOs (breeders already chosen for all 3 breeds). If I decide to get the dog I want to start PP work with I will be looking into Bull Terriers, Malinois, Beaucerons, Dutchies, and possibly Rotties. I have aspirations but it is all a matter of where I am when I am ready for another dog.

I only *JUST* got Sierra, but I know what our next dog will be. A Newfoundland.

We were planning on getting a newf as our first dog, but Sierra found us first, and she's more suited to apartment living. But once we have a house, and are able to bring in a second dog, we'll have a Newf. Matt and I both LOVE them :)

Probably a Mal, but I also have a male Alapaha and a male Bullmastiff on my list. Not sure if I want a male or female Mal. We'll have to see.

I always say that Wally saves me from becoming the crazy dog lady ;) He does NOT like other Greyhounds in his house (though he likes them off of his property) so it makes it a lot easier to say "no" to all of the Greys I see posted. If it wasn't for Wally I'd have like 20 Greys by now. LOL!

And also lucky for him I don't like small dogs, otherwise he would have brought home about 50 of those little fuzzy things by now! He loves small dogs . . . he's such a weirdo

Another pit bull. As I just cannot imagine my life without one now.
But I have to CONSTANLY fight the urge to look into maybe getting an American Bulldog. I have to remind myself that I'm small person and that an AB is too much dog for me. Though they are BEAUTIFUL dogs. ESPECIALLY the Scott line.
I'm less for the ABs with the smooshed in muzzles.
Then get an Alapaha ;)

A female GSD from working lines would be my 1st choice. I'd take a male but 2 males in the same house is probably asking for trouble!

My aunt and uncle have two male GSDs now, and had two male GSDs in the past, without an issue. It would definitely depend on the lines as some are showing up to be a bit DA . . .

My next Puppy would be either a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriever, a Cheasapeek bay retriever, an Australien shepherd OR a great dane :)

LOL. know the feeling my friends is that way. Where did you get her??? and im bout to head to ebd so may not answer tonight LOL.
I adopted her in August '06 from a shelter in Chicago, Furry Friends Foundation.
She was't dog aggressive when I adopted her.

But I KNOWKNOWKNOW that so many things can play into when a dog "turns on" with dog aggression. I know environment can play a HUGE role. I know in the shelter they can not show any signs of aggression and then shortly after you get them home, they can turn on. And it could be due to stress.

I want to adopt again, definitely. I just want to try and make sure that for one, I get a 3-4 year old (like I did with Ella) and I want the rescue to bring out a couple of dogs, even same sex ones, to see how the dog reacts to other dogs for myself.
So...preferably I'll adopt a dog that is in a foster home, so that I can get somewhat of an idea of how the dog is going to behave in a home setting.

I would want another Pomeranian. It won"t be for a long time yet.I would love to have more then 1 at a time but my money and space will not allow for that in the near future so Teddy is only a year old so a long time off.

Border Collie, don't even need to think about it...

Won't be until at least next fall, maybe maybe maybe, in Jan... But probably not.

I found my breeder incase I decide to get from a breeder, and my rescue incase I decide to rescue... So Im ready, it's just a matter of Zoey being ready, and the family....

But probably next fall, there will be a BC added to my family.
