My plan is a female doberman. Shelter, rescue, or some type of girl needing a family :) Orson will be pleased with company more up to his level of play.

This "Plan" won't be anytime soon.........at least a year or so away, UNLESS a female pops up that needs us ASAP ;)

Hopefully, my next dog will be a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, from a breeder... I have yet to pick THE breeder, but I've talked to many, who have amazing dogs. : D This won't be for at leaaast one-two years.

I have also considered another Border Collie, or a Husky, or a Chinese Crested, or a Schipperke. But I really, really want a Cardi, I think they are the best breed for me.

Watch me end up falling in love with another petfinder puppy... teehee.

Oh i know what you mean they are my breed too. I have had them since i could walk my dad has had tehm since he was 15. And geuss who he got to meet before his ex-wife took over the line BOB SORRELL of sorrell pits at a weight pull in Palatka, FL in 1995. And yes he does. This dog is in ADBA and does weight pull and hunts with all the tests done. He has already bred him once and he is a WONDERFUL producer. Jeep (Crenshaw) is another well bred line. Basically my two dream lines in one dog. Heres an example: Trying to find a picture online is proving to be as difficult as finding a true pit bull in teh razors edge line. LOL. Most of the pics i have are in books but im trying to track one down.

I really wanted to quote your other reply, but this one is shorter :D

I say go with a dog from him, then!!!
Are you going to show, weight pull, or do anything of the like with your pup??
I'd GIVE to have a dog from lines like that, if I were going to participate in any kind of sport with it.
My next dog, I simply want to do therapy with. But I DEFINITELY want a pit bull to do therapy with.
I'm REALLY partial to the smaller pit bulls (real) like the ones you posted. I like the gamey-looking pit bulls, but minus the game, you know?
Basically, I'll take my pit bulls anywhere from 35-45 lbs (45 lbs. MAX).
I know their weight range is HUGE, but I like the smaller ones. I guess it's because the rescue ones that I work with are smaller than most you see today. And I think that's the perfect size for me.

My bitch that i had to put down was a Red/Red nose 45 lb Old FAmily Red and we were going to do Therapy with her but it didnt work out because she became disabled at 6 mths. If you search teh name Booger there should be pics on here.

I see a pic of Booger in your sig.
AWWW!!!! She was beautiful. I'm sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine.

When/if you get a pup, you MUST post pics. I know, "Duh", right? But seriously. I LOVE pit bull puppies.
And I could look at in shape pit bulls ALL DAY. If I had a fenced in yard Ella would be weight pulling, doing spring pole play/work, and flirt pole work. She'd SOOO be in shape and muscular right now.
Don't get me wrong, she's lean and healthy and beautiful, but she by NO MEANS has the muscle definition of a working pit bull.

Oh, and I kind of want my next pit bull to maybe be a little less dog aggressive.
I know I cannot plan for that and I'll love dearly any dog I decide to adopt or buy, but if I had a choice, my next one would not be so dog aggressive.

Thanks she lived to be 3 which was alot older then we thought but she was my pit love.
Thats why I love my dads house. 1 acre plus woods everywhere in the country=perfect Pit Paradise :D. And i will. Right now we have 2 there one thats a bit big for my taste but a great conform. and a puppy thats shaping up to be tall but lean. Alas none are mine tho :(. And that is the hardest thing to judge. I hated that Tytus our male the big one wasnt the least bit D.A. (wrong temp.) now hes becoming D.A. but TOO D.A.

oooh, Ella is SUPER, SUPER dog aggressive.
Like, if she is forced to be around other dogs (and when I say around, she's on leash and they are yards away from her still) her skin will break out. And she gets so worked up that she'll make herself vomit.
It's bad.
We have to avoid other dogs at almost ALL costs.

I don't expect to get her to a point where she enjoys other dogs, but I at least want her to stop acting like a dumba$$ anytime we see one while we're out on a walk.

And I mean "dumba$$" in the most endearing way possible.
