smk are my initials..i use to have a blanket that had the letters down in the corner..one day my son came in (when he was very young) and called me smk like smic..ie stands for an example of..so i took it as my art name. I always wanted a nickname and no one would ever give me one so this was as close as i was going to get. I know it annoys some people..and i have been called smokey as well..but there are two other artists out there with my real name and it must be common because even at the pharmacy there is another person there as well..only our birthdate is different..sigh

Dakotah, you had me worried there for a moment, because I've been picturing you as a 15-ish year old girl.

I chose mine because I was at a complete loss and didn't think the name that I use on other boards, rubynecklace, seemed to fit a dog board (and I was tired of the "pearlnecklace" jibes I would get when I pissed someone off). Then I saw Sawyer dashing about like mad and stuck with "Zoom".
