Fila

My fave hands down is the Fila Brasileiro. Fantastically intelligent, easy to train, loyal and loving, confident, powerful, protective, fearless, cuddly and smiley.
There is not a better nights sleep to be had when you have 2 floppy friends outside.

Thieves 0 - Floppies 2

Sweet dreams.

I love any herding breed, but Shelties are my favorite by far. They are so beautiful and their size makes them perfect for almost any living situation. My favorite thing about them is their intelligence and willingness to please. My 9 week old puppy already knows around 10 words and three commands. I will always own a sheltie, and hopefully one day a rough coated collie also. :)

Perfect personality (IMHO) for a dog. Silly, Loyal, Loving. They also know when to play hard and when to be lazy.

They are also the perfect size and hair length IMHO

i like irish setters because of their look and how they are just puppies forver. and i like kelpies because of their look and how they are So intelliegent. not big into BC's but I think a kelpie is one of the only breeds that could give them a run for their money in agility

my fav is the Labrador Retriever. We have a 1yr 9 mo old female and a 9 wk old male. Having the new puppy helps me remember everything Tira did when she was little. Gunner is bigger than she was at this age but he's just as happy, bouncy and feisty as she was.
Labs have a friendly soulful look in their eyes. They only want to be your friend and be loved. No matter what age they are, they want you to love them the best. I wouldn't trade our babies for all the money in the world. We've had to move because property owners decided they didn't want dogs inside...we've had to leave our little girl in S.C. while truck driving because we didn't have a home. She stayed with 3 other labs and a good friend and was well taken care of. Oh my God did we miss her!!! It took us from 3/05 until 11/05 to get her here with us. I'm so glad we never sold her and that the friend offered to keep her for us. Every time I thought about her being left behind...and those sad eyes...and her barking for us...I just knew she thought we were never coming back....that she didn't understand what was going on. *crying* It still breaks my heart that we lost so much time with her. She was our first Lab and will always be our baby girl! She crawled into our hearts at 9 1/2 weeks old and will never leave. We visited her every 2 to 3 weeks (when the company would let us go to S.C.) and it tore me apart every time we had to leave without her. When we got to pick her up Thanksgiving weekend in '05 we were beyond happy. I knew the way she greeted us that she'd never forgotten us and that she was just waiting for us to get her for good again.
I will NEVER let anything or anyone take our Labs away again. We've got our boy and girl and I LOVE LABS! :)

Mix Breeds!

I'm biased I've got a mutt, or half-breed as I prefer to call her! lol. But if I had to choose a purebred it would either be a Dobe, there so sleek and chic looking or a presa canario ( not to own but I think they look gorgeous!)

Well GSD of course because of their confidence, intellegence, strength and their laid back attitudes.

Dobies because they are silly, hyper and CRAZY. I love their looks especially cropped/docked (I really don't want to hear the "your so evil" crap today or "thats so wrong". No lectures please).

I love so many breeds. Every time I come away from a private training session or start a new puppy class I find another breed or mix that I think is amazing. I will however, always have a Brussels Griffon. Amos, the flat little mug below is a breeder neglect rescue. He lived in a kennel in a dark basement for 20 hours/day for the first 16 months of his life. I had his grandmother before him (same nutcase "breeder") and when she passed away I found out about his situation. He is such a tough, sweet, comical and bright little man, I don't know how he got through that time with his need for affection but his heart remained open for love.:D I'll always have a Brussels in my face:D

This is his Christmas Mohawk!;)

The Australian Cattle Dog because...

*they are highly intelligent (I like dogs that are easily trained)
*excel at agility (a sport I really want to get into)
*they are protective (i love the feeling of being safe!)
*energetic (because i love going for long walks and to parks and beaches to play with my dog, also helps to keep me in shape:p )
*dependant on people/velcro dogs (ACD's love car rides, and they want to go everywhere with you, which is great because I love taking my dog everywhere with me!!)
*They are medium size (perfect size for travelling, not too big or small)
*low matinence coat (i'm into heavy grooming)

And a bonus is their gorgeous looks!! They come in 2 coat colors, red and blue... Look at how beautiful they are!:

(Blue is on the left, red on right. Both colors can come with or without a mask.)
I second that Ausdog!

I love Aus Cattle Dogs. They look cool; they're about the right size; durable; and have a long life span. :)

I 4x4 in the summer so I wanted a dog who can walk the trail while I drive it.

Random question, Aus... Are ACDs heavy shedders? Like, as much as a German Shepherd?

I also LOVE the Molossers and other working breeds specifically...

Sarplaninac
Caucasian Ovcharka
Central Asian Ovcharka
Sylvan
Belgian Shepherds
Dogos

I gotta stop this list could keep going for a long while...
