Gawd, this has to be one of the worst weeks ever.

My math teacher (who HATES me for some reason) embarrased me in front of the whole class yesterday. At the beginning of the last unit she gave us a package and said we could go ahead in it if we finish early. Considering we are using the same package (though in the next unit), I assumed we could continue. So, my tutor (sp?) and I went ahead the next page. Next day in math, the teacher sees the work done and when I tell her the tutor went through it with me, she flipped out.

"...You shouldn't be paying someone to do the work for you..."
"...What were you thinking? Who gave you permission...?!"
"If you're tutor wants a booklet, she can come buy one!"
"...She's not doing her job...!"
"...Waste of time..."

My face went beet red. I kept repeating I was sorry, and by the time she was done yelling I was shaking. I mean, I've had angry teachers before but this...

I am not very good at math, but I try REALLY hard. My tutor really helps me and it completely offended me. I have never been so embarrased in a classroom in my life.

Secondly...

My grandpa and grandma are putting down their FOURTH dog in the last 12 months :(.

They had two in the beggining. One died from heart failure and the other couldn't cope, so they euthanised her. She wouldn't eat, get up, or drink. It was heartbreaking.

Because they work at a local shelter, they adopted another dog, Rosie. She attacked a neighbour, and after consulting a behavioralist, she was put down. They believed there was something wrong with her brain.

Their recent adoption (Molly), had been diagnosed with epilepsy. So, it was sad but they worked with her and got her all available meds. Anyhow, in the past 32 hours, she has had 6 seizures. They saw it coming, as she was really declining the past month. She is scheduled for her euthanization tomorrow at 2pm.

Poor girl.

Thirdly...

My grandma is dying.

The docter said the arteries in her head are clogged, and that she will eventually have a stroke. She's been having lots of mini ones, but nothing major.

Apparently, she is a ticking time bomb :(. We were told that if the first stroke doesn't get her, the second will.

:(.

I'm so sorry... I hope things get better. At least the school year is almost over so you won't have to deal with that teacher for too much longer =/

I hope things start looking up for you...

Thanks guys :(.

This email just breaks me up...

Molly had a bad night. She has had 6 seizures in 32 hours, and we expect more. She appears to have them every 5 hours. We feel that she has suffered some brain damage as she does not know or recognize some things that she new before and she has this vacant look on her face. She staggers and falls over. We have made the decision to put her down, but unfortunately our Vet, is totally booked until 2 p. m. tomorrow. So we will do what we have to do for her and just stick it out. The Vet and her assistant will come here, and she will be buried in our flower garden along with our other special friends. We try to tell ourselves that this is best for her, and that we are doing the right thing, but it is so hard to snuff out a life we love so much.
We are going to be in rough shape for a day or 2 so please if you wish to be in touch do it by e-mail. Cliff especially needs a few days to be alone, and I will just cry.
We wanted you to know what was going on, and to share our grief with you.Love to all.

This something I made for them when they adopted her. It's Molly... :(

Math teachers are Satan Spawn. A couple of the meanest teachers I've ever had were math teachers. No offense to the nice ones out there, few and far inbetween you are.

Tucker, this will make you laugh.

I got a test back in Algebra 2 one time that I'd actually managed to ace - 100%. I looked a the teacher (who had the odd name of Octavia Smith) and asked her if she was sure that grade was correct. She looked back at me over the top of her glasses and assured me that it was - she'd checked it three times :D

Oh Tucker. You are having a rough time. Too many things at once. I can't understand why the teacher would have a problem with you having a tutor. Lots of people have tutors. Let that go in one ear and out the other. You have every right to have a tutor and it's none of her business. Your education is YOUR business. You shouldn't allow someone to talk to you like that no matter what. Can your parents complain to the principle? You need some other adult on your side. Just do the best you can and try not to let her drag you down. You don't need that.

I'm so sorry about your Grandma. Can't they do something about the clogged arteries? Is she taking any blood thinners? What a scary thing. I'm just so sorry. And all this stress she is having with these dogs....so hard.

My heart goes out to you and your family at this sad and difficult time. You are strong and you'll get through this difficult time and things will brighten up. You'll see. Hang in there.

(((hugs)))

OMG! Renee! That is HILARIOUS!!!!! She checked it three times cuz she couldn't believe it herself!!! ROFLOL.

If it makes you feel any better Tucker, I am so bad at math, when I want to double a recipie, I may or may not be able to add the fractions like parts of a cup or whatever...it depends. It all confuses me. So, what do I do? I make the recipie and then.... I make it again. LOL.

I do too! Especialy if it's bizarre fractions. Or sometimes I'll put in the normal amount, then again and maybe again depending. So instead of getting a nice neat "one cup" and just filling it twice or whatever, I might be putting in 7 1/3 cups.

;) It kind of balanced out the absolute 0 I'd scored on the one before. I made the mistake of asking my Dad (the civil engineer) for help. Four hours later I understood rudimentary calculus, but was obviously clueless about MY homework

Thanks guys :(.

I'm just down in the dumps I guess. I am stressed, tired, and this is just the icing on the cake. It was really embarrasing, as today I broke down crying on my way home from school.

:(
