I dumped the drippings from the chicken I cut up for dinner into a cup of water and gave it to him. He drank it all then asked to go outside. He peed like ten times... little bit at a time but he IS peeing on his own. As long as he keeps peeing, no problems. I think he may have to sleep in the crate because he might pee in my room though. =< Poor baby. I went to the grocery store but forgot to pick up low sodium chicken broth. We have regular chicken broth so I might try just a liiiittle bit of that in water and keep flushing him.
His chiro, bless her heart, called me after I got off work to see what the diagnosis was and she has some ideas for how to treat him in the future. I told her I needed to get him an adjustment anyway so I would probably make an appointment with her in a few weeks, hopefully once this is all over and done with, and we'd talk about what we want to do with him. The funny thing is he's all over the place. Crystals and stones last year, NO crystals or stones this time... pH high, pH low... we can't even pinpoint what the deal is.
But we do have some ideas ranging from switching him onto different herbal meds all the way up to eventually even having him on a daily maintenance level of antibiotic, which neither of us hope it goes that far. We'll get him figured out eventually. I hope.
