Often I don't really like either options, but I do vote. I usually like one above the other. Sometimes I agree with an earlier post, wishing there was one for "none of the above"

No it doesn't. By not voting you're already expressing your opinion that the candidates suck and so you have plenty of room to complain.
To be honest, this is exactly what incumbents pray for. You see, they can always count on the votes of the people and families whose jobs depend on them. Whomever controls the most jobs, the most pork contracts wins. If only those who are beholding personally go out and vote, then the incumbent is a shoo in.

They LOVE when outsiders don't rock their boats.

Keep in mind, if you aren't doing something to express your opinion, to be a voice for change, to make some difference, no matter how small you may think it is - YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.

This will be the first year (since I have been allowed to vote) that I will not vote.

I am definitely not educated on the happenings this time around. I haven't had time to research any of the props or any of the people who want my vote. I refuse to vote and just pick any or pick what sounds good. That is not fair to those that have educated themselves and voting for what they believe in.

You've still got at least 36 hours! :D

Pick the most important races and bone up. Senate and the House are a good place to start, then the governor's race if there is one in your state on this ballot.

I really would, but I just don't feel educated enough about the matters at hand this time around.

When I vote, I really know what I am voting for and try to understand, to the best of my abilities, what exactly my vote will mean. If that's not the case, then I don't vote. And, this is the case now.

Sorry, don't be too disappointed. :(

As I have heard the candidates from both sides, I must agree that they are both correct. BOTH SIDES are lying, thieving, back talking pieces of human refuse. There is more than one side fortunately. There are parties that actually want to restore much of the liberty lost in this country.

We don't want to pick a team that may not win, so what do we do? We tell the Dems and Republicans that they are giving us what we want, otherwise we wouldn't vote for them. We pick evil every time because we think we are picking a lessor one. This system sucks because people dont care. This is what makes civil wars and revolutions. This apathy is a tool of tyrants and they are using it well.

Well, as soon as Charley gets back from voting in Jefferson County, Kharma and I are going to walk to the courthouse here in Hamblen County (where my official address is) to vote.

I always take one of the dogs with me when I go vote - it keeps me from getting into a brangle with the political hangers-on and toadies who camp out at the courthouse to try to influence voters

Plus, it helps maintain my reputation for eccentricity ;)

So . . . been to the polls yet?

I'm heading off to vote Kinky in a few minutes. :D

LOL, I got a phone call this morning asking if they could count on my vote for "so-and-so" for governor. I said "I'm sorry, I'm voting Kinky." The lady on the other end said, "Well, this person is a family man, has good ethics, strong morals" etc.

I said, "No offense to you ma'am, but that's why I'm voting Kinky. He's not perfect, and actually admits it." The poor lady was so flustered. Heehee. I politely told her thank you for her time, and to have a nice day.

I want to return Rudy Guilliani's phone call from 10:00 p.m. the other night . . . and ask him just exactly what he knows about the political candidates in Tennessee and how much time he's spent with them . . .

I'm done...............and YES...YES....the commercials will be OVER!! Dave kept telling me to stop wanting elections to be over cause gas prices will now start to increase, but I couldn't help it. the commercials were truly driving me bonkers....trillions of them, all just big bash fests.

I like to vote for the person I feel is best whether its democratic or republican. I dont like the fact we have to choose a party.

i feel so guilty...

im a total moron, and didnt realize i wasnt registered in ann arbor anymore, cause i reregistered back at home. I even voted in the primaries!!

I'm not very good with politics, but I'm from MI, and we are a swing state, so it makes me feel even more guilty!ahh

the way my classes are set up, i totally can avoid (not really purposely...just the way it is) central campus...so while everyone was getting bombarded with "are you registered to vote in AA??" the thought never even crossed my mind until 2 weeks ago...well past the stupid deadline to register. They really should think about procrastinators, lol

I was actually going to drive home to vote, but as luck would have it, my schedule today was:
class 8-10, meeting at 12:45, meeting at 3, tutoring at 6...NONE of which i can get out of...so not enough time anywhere to make the drive!!

someone tell me i am not a horrible person.... :(
